Still nothing in the U.K. Is it Wednesday that they usually update the store over here?

Just tracked through the previous years (2014-2016) and it seems to have launched Tuesday-Thursday, so hopefully this week will be the week. Dying to purchase an upgrade from my 2012 MacBook pro

Thanks, lets hope for this week. I'm in a similar boat with a 2012 MacBook Air, it's got me through my degree well but I need something with more power for my PhD.

I'm exactly the same. Mine got me through my degree and postgrad course, but now that I've got my postgrad job I felt like a new chapter deserved a new laptop

Ditto. Mines an aging 2010 MacBook Air that still exceeds at my tasks but that display for 2017 is just bad.

I hope is this Tuesday!

2017 MacBook Pro no touch bar i7 256 GB SSD

Seeing the MacBook Pro being 13 inch, how much use will your 12 inch macbook get? It's not much more portable.

It looks like the store has been updated for the week over here, but nothing about the back to school offer still. Maybe we'll have to wait until next week?

Got a 2010 Macbook Pro that is on its last legs so could do with a much needed upgrade. I really hope it won't be much longer and I would be really suprised if Apple don't provide the offer to Europe.

Fingers crossed it will be soon.

Yeah I noticed this too. perhaps we will have to wait another week but surely they won't make us wait a total of four weeks!

Is this even happening? I hate the way Apple treat the uk. Inflated prices, using their method of switching the $ with a £ and now exclusion from events

My friend's laptop died a few weeks ago but I've told him to hold off buying so he can get the Back to School deal. He's starting to get a bit desperate for a laptop, if he bought it now, and assuming Apple wouldn't just give him the headphones if the deal became active next week, he's got two weeks that he could just return it and rebuy it - is that correct?

I've been the same as most of you guys, checking each day to see if the offer is on but it's getting mad late now...

I went to check my store opening times (Norwich, Chapelfield) and on Monday 7th August the times are different.

Normally on a Monday, it's opened 9:00 - 18:00 but on 7th August it's open 10:00-18:00... it opens an hour later?!

I checked a handful of other random stores on the retail store list (https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/storelist/) and from the ones I looked at, they also open an hour later on this Monday or open at 10:00 anyway. There were a couple that have special opening times for several consecutive days however.

No idea what the reason for this could be, could be training? Briefing? Prepping for the Back To School promotion?

Either way I'm going to risk it and get mine this Saturday because it's more of a convenient time for me than Monday but if I was going to wait any longer, I'd wait until 7th August and get it then. Just what I'd personally do from the findings and I'm not at all saying anyone else should wait till then or buy it then... only sharing my cutoff date as it were :)

Been checking the UK store every day. My ageing iMac 2010 started crashing last month and I got a corrupted hard disk message when I ran disk utility. Desperate to order new iMac as I need to buy to order for the SSD upgrade and it will take 3 weeks to ship.

Anyone know from past offers - if you buy to order online through the education store - do you still get the offer or is it only if you buy a ready made mac?

Also starting to wonder if it won't happen at all in the UK due to Brexit and the issues with the pound. Someone on this discussion said chat told them it wouldn't be on this year https://9to5mac.com/2017/07/24/apple-back-to-school-uk-2017/

Even if someone did actually get told that via chat then there is no reason to believe that chat rep would have knowledge of such a thing.

It might not come to the UK/Europe but the only way we will find out is if September rolls around and it doesn't start. Everything else is just speculation. That article in 9to5mac being a good example of nothing more than a guess.

I'm hopeful. I'm prepared and able to wait. If you aren't able to wait then my advice would be don't. There is a chance you would be able to claim after the fact anyway.

It's coming apparently. He seemed very certain

That's great, bring it on! Hopefully by this time next week my shiny new 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and Beats will be here!

I've been waking up early every day for this. Hopefully I'll have my 13" TB in silver this time next week too
