How about Apple launches a 'new products' campaign? You know, where where they release new products.

Apple recently said that they care less about specific times of the year for launching products. Where they used to have them spread out over the calendar year, they're now releasing them when they're ready. I think they want to avoid some of the things they've bungled, like maps for instance.

Less on the feel-good PC stuff and more on the keeping the company together, Apple. Steve gone hardly 3 years and look what a mess has become of iOS. Losing all the people that made Apple great left and right, and meanwhile you're screwing around with this kind of stuff. Do this stuff AFTER get things straightened out post-Steve. Apple's job is making great products, not showing the world how to be more environmental.

When I first read it's narrated by Tim, I wasn't that excited. After 10 secs in I was in awe, if he wants to sound exciting he can (compared to the keynotes). How awesome would it be to get a TV ad narrated by him on a commercial break. Nothing says "we care" more than the sort of distant CEO narrating these types of videos.

I think this is just as much about building some respect for Tim as a leader. He is criticized harshly for being who he is, and who he is not. I think this campaign will help to draw the focus on Apple's true focus and values and away from Tim as "not being Steve". I think it's effective, but it would've been powerful with any other voice of devotion. Great video, great message.

Really powerful ad that ties in with my unit in AP Environmental Science. Wonder if I can get our teacher to play it before te climate change/greenhouse gas test tommorrow.

The Transcendence crew should've just filmed at Apple's facility for Brightwood Data Center.

I don't know about you but Earths well-being (and indirectly mine as a result) is waay more important than whether I can view my notification on my wrist. Obviously they can do both...

It certainly adds complexity to Apples business and I'm glad to see they drive it seriously and "sell" it to the public. Hopefully they find more copycats for that, too.
Well done :apple:

Reminded me of Steve Jobs Think different campaign video. Now its Tim Cook's Better campaign video and its great! Shows what Apple is and what their goals for the future will lead them! Awesome!

The solar farm is in Yerington. The data center is in Sparks. Those are about an hour and a half apart.

Thanks. And the solar farm must just dump its electricity into the grid where it all gets netted out. So it is really more of an accounting statement then reality to say the data center is powered by this solar farm. One presumes there isn't a 60+ mile power line going from the facility straight to the data center.

Anyway, accounting though this may be, it doesn't mean Apple didn't make a renewable power plant to satisfy their power needs. Good for them. Might not be great news for existing utility or power plants in the area. I'm sure they don't love having additional generating capacity to compete with.

Apple's job is leading the tech industry. This leads the environmental charge. They will soon be showing everyone else how to do wearables and eventually TV. The phone and tablet bug fixes will comes as they are needed. iOS is fine.

The data center is in Patrick isn't it? That's about 18 miles east of Sparks if I'm not mistaken.

Still, I didn't know that the solar farm is in Yerington, which is a great place for it.

The get released when they're ready. Patience, grasshopper.
You mean "When it's convenient". So they magically are ALL ready in the fall? OSX, iOS, iPhone, iPad, iMac, Mac Pro, Macbook Pro?
