Too bad it’s more of a novelty than something that’s actually functional. Those wallet attachments are laughable.

Of course it's functional it's wireless charging. The only thing it needs to improve on is faster charging if the phone ever becomes portless

Do you even have the wallet? I'm guessing not. The wallet will fit a purpose its clearly not meant to be on your phone all the time just when you need it on the go. If you use a silcone or leather case it will stick to the phone alot better than just on the phone. Some videos it comes off easily and others not so much...

Not all reviews are bad. If you use a silcome case it attachs far stronger than just using the phone. Think people think this should be something you will have on your phone all the time which really isn't the point of the wallet

Agreed. Get your phone stolen, and you lose everything in one go. Been mugged (in London) twice for my phone now, would not want to give them my cards as well. LOL If they did then it would have been a lot harder to get home as well.

Same as with cash, I tend to keep a bit in one pocket and a single note in the other. Again when mugged (in Warsaw most recently) I threw that one note at them and got away...

Having the two things attached just doesn't make sense to me. Besides the cards are on the phone wallet app anyway, so why need them physically as well when taking your phones out? And then the wallet is shielded so if you wanted to use the card then you have to take it out.

Nope to me, the use case doesn't make sense, the impacts of a security breach are too great.

Precisely! Sorry you got mugged. I’ve owned every flagship iPhone and never got 1 stolen until 11 Pro Max launch weekend and then again a few weeks ago Lol. 1 was left in an Uber and 1 was left on the seat of a bar, so it’s my fault.

And luckily I’ve never had a wallet lost/stolen, but what you said is exactly why I’d keep them separate.

Wireless chargers are a nice alternative for devices that only have one port that’s likely to break at some stage. Happened to my last two iPhones- at least my 8+ can extend its lifespan that way.

You don't need wireless charging for that. All you need are flush contacts on the back of the phone, like the ones on home wireless phone handsets. Essentially unbreakable.
