especially getting phone notifications on the mac. No need to look around between mac screen and phone when you hear an alert sound.
I assume you are indeed currently logged into your apple account at the top of the settings app?
The window tiling functionality is just another stupid evil design by Apple. It literally wastes space, makes your content less easy to focus on.
Here's hoping companies like Altab fix what Apple just broke. There isn't even an option to turn it off.
It took them a quarter of a century to reinvent the wheel, and the come up with this hexagonal clunky BS?
Oh and also I only now discover that almost all the new major features are blocked in Europe : AI, iPhone mirroring...

Literally no idea what you're talking about. You can turn window tiling off just fine in System Settings > Desktop & Dock and can get rid of the extra margins there as well.

Well, I updated. To Sonoma 14.7 Seems to work fine. Gonna give it a week or so to switch to Sequoia.
updated this morning. about 3 times now, all network connections stop working until reboot. i have deleted all preference files from system configuration, issue continues.
this has to be the slowest update EVER..its been stuck on preparing 25 minutes for over 25 minutes

Agreed, no need for that to be there.
I know that, and you know that, but some people don’t, and even though there’s a dialog box that will pop-up, it’s still a poor place for it. I personally think “Erase Disk” should not be a contextual menu item in the finder, and should be reserved for the Finder’s menu bar, and Disk Utility.
A lot of interns working at Apple these days, it seems. I’m still sore about how they needlessly altered the watchOS interface last year, making it objectively worse and harder to use.
LOL, interesting enough...I think this release after many years might be one of the best releases as far as just maybe the "normal" type of minor bugs and not like before. There was a lot of testing on this OS before release and I heard many reported just minor bugs (if any). I first downloaded the first beta and played around with it for awhile and did not have really any major bugs and could have just continued using it (but of course I didn't - just wanted to test out for awhile).
Actually I am encouraged that this should be a solid release. But again, it is Apple...so I might get an egg in my face in a few days. LOL
Mohave will be dropped, not Monterey.If only browsers worked forever. I am still on Monterey but I guess Firefox will soon force me to update macOS or sites will suddenly stop working properly

Quite some time ago I lost my internet connection with an update - it was an old set up from an obsolete provider. When I went to the internet connections set up and clicked "create" it made a new connection for me, filled in the details and it has been working well ever since then.
So waited till today to upgrade and: not good. I probably should have disconnected my external 4TB Samsung T7 SSD with its 4 volumes from the 14" M2 MBP. After this upgrade it is no longer recognized by the MBP (or an PC which I tried.) The T7 window keeps telling me to connect a Samsung drive which I have tried many times after running Disk Utility on the T7. DU refuses to attempt to fix the main Volume with an error that it is corrupted. Two of the volumes are backed up by Time Machine on a external Toshiba 2TB HD which seems to be OK after the upgrade though I've halted backups while I sort this out. 'Looks like I have to erase the Samsung T7 drive, re-partition and re-build. A nice welcome to Sequoia!

Definitely does not feel snappier at all for me on a m3 max. Feels literally the same, same frame drops on animations, etc
Resizing windows, moving them around still looks like garbage, as if it just drops frames all around / unsyncd from 120hz.
Try using tiles, just doesn't feel snappy/smooth at all. I was hoping this version would be more performant and more in line with what I expected from this ridiculously expensive machine.

That's really odd: the new OS seems more fluid and smooth compared to Sonoma on my M3 Max. I am sorry you are having these issues.
I went for it. Usually wait till the .1 or .2 release on a new macOS but I figured what the heck. So far so good.
