This update is nothing special so far, and I have already noticed bugs / weird UX. Just after a quick glance withouth going to the details - thew new maps do not stand a chance with Google maps, Komoot or other products. The inbuilt firewall is still not fixed. Even in notes when you click highlight selected text, the highlighting option keeps on highlighting. Hopefully with time they will at least fix some of the things.

Yup, iPhone mirroring is broken sigh...

When the phone is unlocked it says its in use and when its not, it sits on connecting before timing out...

iCloud tabs in Safari on Sequoia seems broken too
I could not get my Mac to connect to my iPhone for mirroring or showing the option for iPhone notifications on Mac. I also had issues with reenabling unlocking via my watch. I rebooted all my devices and it seems to be working now.

I agree iCloud tabs doesn't seem to be working, I don't have the option in Mac Safari, but do on my iPad and iPhone.

Interesting... what Paragon NTFS version? I didn't get a MacOS final update over RC, so I assume both are the same and Paragon NTFS got got broken since RC. M1 MacBook Air.

I just downloaded the one on their web site after updating. Worked fine.

What bug?

This one and I restart it afterwards and it still asks me this

So I go ahead and it and it rebuilds and it restarts and it still comes up with the same error

NTFS for Mac by Paragon
They claim it’s Sequoia compatible so idk if its on their end or Apple’s now

i think i remember reading this is not supported on intel macs, is that right? if that's the case it's a shame Apple is constantly feature rationing their loyal customers on still supported platforms (like charge limiting on ios for example) as there is no reason the intel mac cannot do this. we've had remote desktop features on other platforms since windows 95 days on much, much less powerful hardware, LOL.

Things are not as linear as you're suggesting. Charge limiting actually requires hardware and software to work together. Not all Apple devices have the same charging hardware in place.

Remote Desktop back in the Windows 95 days had 1/2 (or fewer) pixels to transmit across the wire. Pixel densities have now doubled, which is just one factor.

It's not just about how fast or powerful hardware is. It's also about what internal capabilties that hardware has. There's a reason that the hardware is upgraded every year. It is actually different today than it was 20 years ago.

I installed the macOS Sonoma RC, and had an issue that the calendar widget shows the day in English, although my Mac is set to German, and now since the build of the final release is the same, I got that bug. Commented the same with iOS, catched some disgusting bugs and now I'm stuck with those it seems, thus everyone said it can't be.

Anyways...anyone with an idea how to solve the localization issue?

Happy upgrade day!
I’ll be waiting a few days and read responses here before upgrading
i will be waiting a bit longer, I will wait and see what Apple does with the AI stuff and how easy it is to disable.

How easy is it to revert to an older version of macOS? Windows is easy if a little time-consuming, just download the older version, stick it on a SUB stick and install.

So is the bug related to the Calendar widget? Did you report that via Feedback Assistant?

What was your reason for upgrading on Day One, especially if you were aware of a bug during beta testing?
I wasn’t aware of it.
I updated to the RC on my mac mini and found out it wasn’t working. I thought it was because it wasn’t compatible yet. I looked it up afterwards and saw people were having issues. Paragon released a version that they claim is compatible but obviously doesn’t work.

I’m not trying to sound like a jerk or be confrontational, but I’ve done all the latest updates over the last few years on my MBP M1, and don’t see any issues. On occasion I see some odd stuff, but compared to Windows updates, it’s usually pretty benign.

I’m sure folks have issues snd not saying they’re not legitimate. But some are expecting perfection on every piece of hardware, vintage, customization, etc.

I'm using stand alone CaptureOne Pro 23 and am wondering if there's full support for MacOS 15? I'm on 14.7 right now and from what I found on their site, latest support is there for up to 14.6. So Perhaps I'm looking on older support pages either way.

honestly never had the need/desire to do so, but I'm sure there are plenty threads here in the MacOS forums where that is discussed. I had been running the public betas on my M1 MBA for like 2 years, never had a real issue, I "upgraded" it to a 13 iPad Air a couple months ago and installed the public beta of iPadOS, no issues there either ...
