Would it be safe to assume the 2017 ipad pro 10.5 smart keyboard wont fit/work with the air?

What about a new iPhone SE2? That doesn't need a lot of fanfare either. This would be a good time as well.

You mentioned this twice now. There was never really any concrete rumors about the SE 2 being revived, nor did it seem logical to launch this month at all with a Services keynote approaching. I don’t see an iPhone SE 2 being a plan for Apple for 2019 at all.

So now there’s:
iPad Pro: for pro creative users or users who want the latest greatest.
iPad Air: mainly for pencil support and powerful
iPad: Also pencil support and less powerful.
iPad mini: mainly for business/light/on the go users.

Some are based on price differentiation, some are more categorical.

Bit of a mess...

They added the Air to the lineup (again), which is the follow-up of the 'iPad' (I presume?), while the 'iPad' was the follow-up of the iPad Air 2, but the iPad is still kept in the lineup. If I got this right... :)

+1.

They’ve re-ordered the lineup to be kinda more similar to the MacBooks.

You start at the standard iPad, then go up in price to the Mini or Air if you want either more screen or more portability, or further up to the Pro(s) if you wanted the latest goodies. Then add storage & cellular options for each.

Let's be honest, the only reason Apple updated the 10.5 inch was in reaction to the Surface GO. Otherwise it would have fallen into obscurity. To me it seems like everything Apple is doing now with updates and new products is only in reaction to something instead of being the company others are reacting too.
