Seems like all apple does these days are new ads.
You would do the same if were running the company. Not every customer is just sitting on forums all day refreshing screens to see if Apple is releasing something soon. These ads are for customers that actually need a product to use, not one to brag about being the first on the block with. Even with the news on the web and TV about Blackberry and Samsung, Apple still needs to keep their name fresh and what else is there to do but advertise? I'm willing to bet that 90% of the time when Apple releases an update to their current products the average Joe never knows about it.

Once again, one of the most important parts has been left to the bottom of the ad page.

Agreed to an extent, but IMO it's appropriately placed because putting it at the top can appear arrogant. Apple already has that rep.

What sucks about iCloud?
What is meh about iTunes?
What is meh about iOS 6, maps, etc.?

If you're going to make a statement, back it up with some specifics, or you're just wasting everybody's time.

My experience with iCloud, iTunes, iOS 6, and maps is amazing. Never have things worked so well together and offered up such a rich, engaging experience. The demands that consumers are putting on Apple these days is getting out of control. Appreciate the beauty of engineering you are holding in your hand!

This wasn't directed at me but I'll bite.

iCloud
- Let's start off with artificial segmentation. I have a 2009 MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard/Windows 7 installed. How is it that in order to use iCloud, I have to reboot out of the Apple OS? It makes no sense, what happened to keeping it in the ecosystem?

At this very moment, iCloud supports more Windows OSes (Vista, 7, 8) than it does Apple ones (Lion, Mountain Lion)! "iCloud, only available on Apple OSes released after mid-2011 or any Windows OS since 2007!"

As far as the actual iCloud content goes, it needs to scale with number of products. The person who has three iPod Classics, a Touch and an iPhone should be afforded more space than the guy who only has an iPod Shuffle.

iTunes - several unnecessary changes along with the ongoing belief that people can't choose for themselves. In order to promote their new Song layout, they get rid of 'Cover Flow' and 'Album Cover' in the bottom corner, meaning the only way to view the album artwork is to use the new layout. Sorting has become worse, especially for those who have classical music, search function is worse. On the plus side, it is prettier

iOS 6/Maps - They have the temerity to put out a half finished Maps app as a flagship component of their 'new' OS. The Maps app is mediocre at very best and highlights the fact that Apple, in its quest for omnipotence, is willing to sacrifice quality. iOS features few overhauls and updates.

Safari - "Can you run the newest version of our browser? Not if you're using Snow Leopard because...... well, just because."

If Apple had the same approach to software that they did to hardware and customer service, they would be unstoppable.

Hardware - cutting edge; world class.

Customer Service - pererless; class leading; [my MagSafe broke; they hooked me up a new one, gratis, within 5 minutes]

Software
- staid, mundane, segmented (you want this new version of this core OS X program, update your OS)
arbitrary (when you view an album in iTunes and then in Finder it will show two different sizes. This is because despite both programs being made by Apple, one uses megabits and the other uses megabytes, both of which are signified by MB in their respective programs)

"i love how apples marketing always makes it seem like their customers are idiots and need everything spelt out for them :D" statements such as this is another reason why the down vote should NOT have been removed.

why? its the truth ... did u rly need apple telling u that their screen is "obviously" great and what its good for?

thx for this ad apple, i wouldnt have know what to do with my iPad before. i thought u use an tablet to cut vegetables on it and had no idea the screen is what matters

Bahaha. Oh the irony...
uhm "spelt" isnt wrong? look it up. jokes on u especially since english isnt even my first language

I bet at least one person complains about the "Two brilliant displays." text and references the iPad Mini's non-retina display.

And they would be correct. Sorry but I can't consider a tablet with a 163 dpi as a brilliant display.

Honestly they should promote ease use and intuitiveness more then tech specs when they are inferior IMHO.

I download pdf into iBooks on iPhone. Will it appear on my iPad as well? Nope! It just doesn't work, it doesn't put content on all my devices. This is what sucks about iCloud: it's very limited and works only for tiny scope of things.
To copy that pdf from iPhone to iPad I need to have computer with iTunes. So what's meh about iTunes is that it's required for things that shouldn't require any external software at all.
And what is meh about iOS is that it doesn't contain some basic functions expected in any OS, like copying documents to and from device.
As for maps, one of the major streets in my city was renamed in 1990, but Apple Maps still uses pre-1990 name. WTF is this? Where they did even find such outdated database?

How much does it cost Apple really for this campaign that they put on their website.

I haven't seen the why you'll love iphone ad on wsj or nyt.

I have the ipad and ipad mini (which most of us do)...and the iphone5, the imac, and the mac book air, ....what I need is a good reason to buy something new! And the last 3 months there hasn´t been any of that. Time for apple to makes something that want us to throw more money at them :D ...tv? iwatch? some other cool stuff...sadly I dont believe we´ll see any of this, it´s unlikely products.

What you need is a hobby.

Where do I go if I drop my Nexus anywhere in the world?

Not everyone has an Apple store near them. Its quite rare unless you live in a major city or state side.

Mind you, Apple stores do have the best service.

----------

Put your money where your mouth is - what kind of innovation would you like to see?

Lighting connector is so 2012..... ;)

----------

I'm still loving my Ipad 3.

Once the mini goes Retina, that will be perfect.

What is meh about iOS 6, maps, etc.?

Who wants to read through pages and pages of whining???

How about you tell us what is right with it, that should be a few lines ;)

Focus on Maps please.

Apple needs to amp up the print/billboard ads for this campaign. I think they can afford to increase their advertising/marketing budget.

Software apple is pretty bad. iCloud sucks, iTunes is meh, iOS 6 meh, maps, etc.

No.

iCloud works fine.

iTunes is the best in it's class hands down.

iOS6 could have more features but what would you rather? Android? If so why are you on MacRumors?

Maps sucks though. But your free to use Google Maps.

OSX is the most solid computer OS on earth easily. Apple make good software buddy.

I would rather have new hardware in my hands. All this money on marketing for a supposedly strong brand...

How do brands get strong and stay strong without marketing? One could argue a large part of Samsung's success of late is due to the ***** load of money they've spent on advertising their Galaxy line of products.

Where do I go if I drop my Nexus anywhere in the world?

Ugh, Apple doesn't even have stores everywhere in the US. Many drive hour or two or more to get "support".

Oh and I recently had my Nexus 7 break - one call to Google and with no hold time a new replacement was at my door in 2 days flat. Surprising for Google I know but even that advantage for Apple might soon be gone. So where is my 5" iPhone and Retina Mini Apple? :)
