Apple Launches OS X Lion Via Mac App Store

I started the download at 6.02 am and when I checked again at 6.32am it was done. Apple must be using some kind of alien server technology.

3.49GB in all for the download.

Same issue on my Xserve running Mac OS X Server 10.6.8. No problem on my MacBook Pro. I am getting 7.7 GB/h on FiOS.

Same here. That leads me to believe that the GM is the release.
 
I can't redeem my free copy even though I'm eligible and I can't buy it in the Mac App Store get a "This item isn't available" message. Doesn't Apple want me to use Lion :(

The tweet claiming the retail build is older than the GM is being disputed.

I *believe* you need to do it before as I believe the installer files are automatically deleted after installation from your hard drive. (It can't delete a DVD installation file AFAIK.)

In the App Store just go to 'Purchases'

I launched the download around 9:37 (Taipei Time) and I am at 3.45 of 3.74Gb. Around 7 minutes left.

Pretty fast. At first I was kind of sad because I missed the launch on the App Store by 15 minutes and I kept getting the message to try later (error 100) when I hit the buy button but after some frenzy refreshing I managed to get my download slot and it's been quiet a fast ride. I m quiet surprised I thought the servers would overload. But after all quiet well and smooth.
 
As much as it is killing me I'm waiting it out on this one. Want to see if people have any major problems right out of the gate before I buy it. From what I heard of the GM it seems to be rather stable but I've survived with SL this long so I can wait a few more days for some reviews of Lion.

ahh my enthernet is only 2 megabyte download started downloading 30 mins ago and im only at 200 megatybes our of 3.75 gig fml
