Downloading as we speak, but I can't help but wonder which apps this will kill. I might have to go play a couple of rounds of GLTron while I still can.

Still can't download in Canada. I've been trying since 8:31 EST. I don't think it's a bandwidth problem; I suspect it literally never worked at all in the Canadian store. Anyone in Canada actually successfully start a download?

Oh well, I guess I'll try again this evening.

Same problem as you, I also live in Canada :(

EDIT:
It is now working in Canada for me! :)

Nice so now how do I get it free for my new laptop? LOL! I see no way to do that yet! :(

Whoop, and with that, it suddenly started working. Now when I get home, hopefully it'll be ready to go. :)

It's downloading now. I'm not sure where others are seeing the progress step by step but it should take 1-2 hours with my connection (hopefully).

"temporarily unavailable" in Sweden too at the moment.

For those of you who are worried that the interweb will crash I can tell you I made a backup on my USB-stick last night, the whole www ...

39 mins to go but it does appear to be slowing down slightly. Likely because of new sessions starting up.

My free Up To Date copy redeemed, and downloading at 50 Mbps. Will be done in a few minutes :)

Apple Servers *won't* get hammered - it's hosted globally on a CDN. Mine is downloading from a server 3 hops away in Hong Kong owned by the ISP I'm with.

So. Once it finally downloads, do we then have to install it or is it just this?

I guess for people looking for a clean install, downloading first- then installing- could give them that option. For others, it's just an added step.

Soooooooo. I have Lion DP3 on my MacBook, and I don't think I can be bothered to do a clean install (I did for Lion DP3).

Can I update Lion DP3 to the released version?
