Is the up-to-date program working for everyone else? I bought a MBP this past Friday, everything checks out when I check the warranty but the up-to-date site says they can't find my serial number :(

Sure it's available... Not. Can anyone else see it? I've been checking for the last couple of minutes, and there's no Lion, unless they failed to post it on the main page (highly unlikely).

There was nothing in the featured section, but it is making its way up the top grossing list...

im downloading it, but is there a time indicator of how much of the download is left, or complete? or are we stuck with the little installation bar below the icon in the dock?

Go to the purchased section.

Did they remove the Superdrive from the non-server version of the Mac Mini or did I just not notice it didn't have one before? If they did thats absolutely horrible.

The Mac-Mini Server has never had a Superdrive, so they did not actually remove it.

Wow, I thought it'd take over an hour on my connection but it says 25 minutes. My DL speed is 2 MBps, can't wait to install this, play with it for five minutes and then pass out from lack of sleep.

15 minutes left in the Canadian App Store, started only 5 minutes ago!:)

YAY Downlading at 37mbps.

Not installing yet though, gonna burn a DVD and make sure it boots, then back everything up and do it at the weekend.

Haven't erased my iMac since snow leopard came out.

Seriously... Could someone please tell me how you're seeing progress in terms of GB and minutes remaining? All I get is the useless tiny progress bar in the dock. I can't find any way to see the information you're all seeing.

Thanks!

10 minutes for me but things are slowing down so can guess servers are slowly getting owned :p

Has anyone in Australia managed to start the download?

Not here, mate. Got the (100) error for some reason and said it's temporary unavailable. I was like WTF, that never happened to me before when I download apps from the Mac App Store...

Apple isn't thinking clearly!

If Lion is only going to be available via download at home or an Apple Store then I think Apple really screwed up.

How many Apple users don't have a practical way to perform a 3.49GB(!) download? Not everyone has access to a high speed connection at home or live a reasonable distance from an Apple Store.

The word that comes to mind to describe the current situation is Arrogance.

PS. I'm on a fast cable modem so the download is fine with me. Not everyone has that luxury.

EDIT: Never mind. I just noticed the link to an Apple article stating that Lion will be available on a thumb drive next month: $69.
