LOL, I seriously thought that was a screen grab from Apple's website, just from looking at his blue shirt and the tag around his neck. Wow, that's just lame...
If you change your App store country just for the purchase, do you get a universal OS or a regionalised version?

Mac Pro 2006 + Upgraded Video card?
Anyone know if it detects that you upgraded the video card on the original Mac Pro?
I'd read that the limitation was system, but graphics. I had updated my video card to the 4890 a while back when it came out with the 2k8 systems. Since the Mac Pro hasn't seen much of a refresh I wasn't in a hurry to replace it since it 'works' for me.
Waiting on the download to find out myself, but was wondering if anyone tried. Will be a bummer to not move up as I don't want to buy a new system until that 'killer refresh' Tim Cook hinted too comes out, as the current one I'm kinda meh on.

We have a Microsoft Store here in the same shopping mall from an Apple Store (just a few steps away). The MS Store employees try to look like Apple Store employees. There are never any customers in there (more employees than patrons), whereas the Apple Store is always busy.
Open the Mac App Store and go under "Purchases". You will see the download progress there.
It seems like it's moving very slow for everyone. My first gig went by pretty fast, but it slowed down after that. I started about 45 minutes ago and I'm a little past the halfway mark.
I will be so goddamn furious if that is the case. Why couldn't Apple just tell me that? "Mountain Lion releases tomorrow, unless you're using the up-to-date program -- in that case it releases Thursday." I had everything planned and set aside to do this transition today.

Sorry to hear so many people are having problems. Everything went as it should for me, got my code from the up-to-date program minutes after submitting the form, code redeemed just fine and its now downloading with full speed for my connection (20 mbit/2,60 MB/s)... 14 minutes to go!
Check under appstore and purchases and see what it says in the download progress bar.
Content Code Already Used??
Same thing happened to me. Went to the Up-to-date site, entered my info (no Macbook Air to select from though, so I entered Macbook), got my two emails, entered the "unlock password" to display the "content code," entered it into redeem field in the App Store and get this message:
"This code has already been used. Each code may only be used once."
WTF? I haven't used it yet even once. So they sent me a bogus code? How do I get a new one that works? Anyone?
