Mine did not end in YET but I also got the "already been used" error. Mine ended in X4F.

Either we're all getting different codes and the redeem function is broken, or they're sending some codes out to lots of people and one person gets lucky for each code.

I've send a support request to Apple. Apparently I'll get a reply in 24 hours. Heh.

Go away error 100. I need to get some sleep, but it makes no sense to waste the downloading time overnight.
 
Code already used?

I just got my redeem code for getting ML for free because of the up-to-date-program. I typed in the code in the Mac App Store, and I got an error-message saying that the code already have been used. Anybody else with the same problem and what do I do? Should I just wait and try again later?

Edit: okay, kinda glad to know that i'm not the only one having this problem ;-)
 
Not a big deal, but the description is missing a bullet point before the Dictation feature in the Other great Mountain Lion features section.

Also, the Mac App Store says Downloading. Didn't it simply say Installing before?

I also think it is intentional. I think that it’s understandable, but not if they advertise this so big on the App Store. Just release it when you want people to download it and don’t come up with these annoying error messages.
 
Re: Code

I think it takes upto 24 hours for the 'redeemable' code to actually populate the Store (go from one system administrating it - to the other allowing it to be redeemed on the store).

I had similar problem last year and out of shear impatience ended up buying Lion because I couldn't wait for the code to be redeemable on the store...
 
Anyone who stayed up all night only has themselves to blame, you were well aware Lion was released around the same time last year, it was a pretty safe bet it would be the same deal today.

It really does depend on
  1. your connection
  2. Apple's CDN that you connect to

...so there won't be any consistency about your download speed. Whether you're downloading to an SSD, Hard Drive, Flash drive, ZIP drive or tape array, it shouldn't matter. Cassette might be an issue.

If you successfully purchased it, and you're dead slow, you should be able to close the App store and reopen it to have it restart (maybe taking a different route.) You could also reboot and see if that helps.

He is already installing it, so it will install quicker on an SSD than a traditional hard drive.
 
Error 100 here in the UK too. Obviously due to high demand.

I'll just wait until tomorrow :)
