You'll probably find most of these people were once Apple devotees; but like myself, have become so disillusioned with Apple they've not only started to go elsewhere, but also backlash against the company just as they once did against Microsoft. What goes around comes around, but apple have only themselves to blame.

Seriously, you are sooo disillusioned with Apple that you are trying to create a backlash against the company? Wow.

How about just not purchasing thier products.

Given their profit margins, free next day shipping on all Apple-branded products would be awesome.

If they did free next day shipping some would complain that it wasn't free same day shipping. If they did free same day shipping some would complain that it should be delivered in 30 minutes or the product is free.

Wasn't it free 2-day shipping before? This isn't much of a change from my side. I understand the cost difference, but one day isn't much.

For clarity:
I have bought both my phones in a store, in case issues came up with setup.

This might be Apple taking advantage on Fedex over their recent bad quarter performance. By moving larger freight from oversea into states then distributed thru Fedex hubs, it'll definitely save some operating cost comparing to shipping one iphone at a time upon order placed.

Lets say Fedex eats up that $10 (I bet their cost is way lower than $10) for next day delivery, but they can probably save more on larger quantity shipped at once from China.

For Apple, there is nothing to lose except gaining more ordering thru online store and also save money on in-store labor for helping out walk-in iphone buyers.

Don't for a second believe all those paid shills, lap dogs, and anti-Apple trolls sitting on this site who claim they own Apple products or "used to" be a fan of Apple. That's just a ruse to get you to believe they are sincere. They have an agenda. They probably use RSS to notify them as soon as an article is posted. That's why you see the trolls here with their negative posts even before most people have gotten a chance to read the article.

They used to do this stuff at Engadget before they wisely made posting "first" no longer valuable for trolls pushing their agendas. Maybe Macrumors should wise up and do the same or at the very least bring back the downvote button.

We get this way when it's been a while since anything new has been released. :D

Do you get this way when auto manufacturers redesign only every 3 years and do minor upgrades (paint and chrome) in between? Is your iPhone 5 unuseable because it's so outdated?

The smartphone market is becoming saturated since half the people have no need for one. Because of that, no mater how much you innovate, it's impossible to keep doubling sales every year. When your current phone contract runs out, buy whatever new model fits your needs at that time. If you appreciate quality, useability, design, and knowing that your phone will 'just work', buy another iPhone. If price is paramount and you don't mind having to spend hours contstantly screwing with your phone to keep it working or getting it to do obscure stuff, buy from the competition. Expecting continuous revolution in fit, form, and function from any company is a lose-lose proposition for everyone.

Wtf happened to the Macrumors community? Every news article thread are just filled with malicious and obnoxious "hate on everything Apple does" type of comments.

Apple offers free next day shipping. A nice little bonus for anyone considering buying an iPhone on Apples website. It's amazing how something like that, can turn into a negative discussion.

Well let's see:

Apple charges for next day shipping: "Those greedy, profiteering bastards. They're just using their market position and the popularity of their products to squeeze more money from us poor little consumers who have enough disposable income to buy a premium telephone."

Apple provides free next day shipping: "Oh man, Apple is hurting sooo bad that they're having to give free shipping to sell to people who have enough disposable income to buy a premium phone. Dump your stock. They're doomed. Doomed, I say!"

Lol, and yet they satisfy millions of users worldwide, myself included.

Been a Windows user for years, a mac and iPhone user for the past six. Tried all the android tablets and smartphones even a few MacBook air knockoffs to satisfy my tech addiction.

Use my iPhone, iPad and Mac laptop daily. I seriously think people should just shut up and use the products or move on to something else. To sit here and cry and whine about it, to people who have no control over it, is ridiculous.

I wonder how many of the whiners and complainers are wise enough to email Apple directly with their complaints and concerns as often as they whine and complain here? True, your chances of affecting real change may be low but for sure their nil in this forum.

An iPhone 5 a (full size) iPad and a Mac is a pretty powerful system and a great combination of tech. I've got no major complaints. If you don't like it say something about it, I do, but leave out the childish, juvenile ranting. Do posters not realize how foolish it makes them sound? :)

This entire site has been in a crap mood for way too long. It's painful to read these threads anymore.

What does everyone hate about "free"?

Jeez people. Look at their product lineup. It's the nicest, most well-made and well-known of any company out there.

I got off the apple koolaid brah.

Still love my iPhone 5 though

Apple knows what's going on. They're logging my keystrokes on my iPhone 5.

Hi Tim cook!

free next day shipping? Now I can finally pull the trigger on the new iphone.

Hey bro. When you can't innovate... discount.

:apple:

Are you people nuts?! Sounds like they are maximizing their sales channel now that production is full blast. They most likely struck a deal with their shipping company to do an offer. If this was an act of despiration why would they maintain a limit of 2. I don't recall other companies needing to do that when sales are down. They would sell you 50 if you wanted them.

----------

I guess this is what you can call a desperation move. When times get tough, offer free shipping!

Why would a desperate company limit you to 2. Your statement make no sense.

Hold on long enough and there will be free iPhones folks :)

Kidding aside this may just be for leveling the field with Apple stores which are always overcrowded. May be they want more people to buy online.
Yep. Just left the one here and it was crowded on a Monday afternoon.

given them apple prices, they should consider offering free shipping on other big bucks products too. no?

Strangely enough, when I purchased my refurbed iMac 27" from the Australian Apple site, I got free shipping and it was here the next day!

I wonder if with the iPhone they are clearing a backlog of stock in preparation to only hold a slimmer amount of 5's for the 5S's release.
