I'm thinking they're gonna surprise everyone and call it the iPhone 10. Would match up with iOS 10 and put them back on an even release (maybe iOS x.5 for an 'S' release every second year).

Based on? Are you a developer?
It's a lot of money for a conference.

For anyone going there....PLEASE....
ask them these questions:

- What happened to your QA staffs?
- Why solder mbps and other mac computers?
- Why aren't you guys up to date with technology and mac pro?
- Why are you so obsessed with Green Life?
- Why did you shift direction with directions and common sense?
- Expandability?
- Are you insane?

What happened to simplicity?
What happened to any person being able to pick up and use your product?

First question is true. I don't get what you mean by your second question.

It will be magical.

"Hello 6 seconds of fame" -- amount of time Tim will spend talking about the Mac Mini and Mac Pro combined.

"Hello 6 seconds of fame." Hopefully it means only 6 seconds of liam and anything green (energy or whatever).
[doublepost=1461028859][/doublepost]"Hello love at first swipe." I mean come on, it means touch screen macbooks and mbp's and whatnot. Because it'll be the first swipe on a macbook pro or macbook or whatnot.

"Hello driver, as fast as you can." Perhaps a really fast ssd.

Dark theme for iOS!

That would make sense if they intend to move to OLED next year
Oh dear Apple, please deliver this.

The dark mode for previewing images using 3D Touch in the Camera app is great. I'd love if they continue that throughout the OS.

If they move to OLED next year as rumored, I think Apple would do well to introduce a dark theme to prolong battery life.

Because Apple is a greedy pig, that's why. And if they don't announce new physical products and only software updates, I am switching to android.
So an ultimatum about physical products at a developer conference dedicated to development and software essentially...sure...that's meaningful.

 Que the people picking apart the random shapes in the image... Wait....
let price = 1599

this is the new price for all macbooks from now on.

Yet they sell so many tickets they have to have a lottery for developers who are happy to pay that.

Supply and demand.

Apple is worth close to 600 Billion, with 200 billion in cash reserves and yet they charge 1599 per person non transferable. Ouch.

Who, if anyone, is programming in SWIFT? Better yet, who, if anyone, is programming in SWIFT as a part of their job?

Yup, and Yup

Swift has come a long way since the launch of it just under two years ago. I'm still running into clients that refuse to switch over from Objective-C due to an existing code base.

From that, it is creating a split in those looking for this type of work. One are Obj-C developers going back years. The others are those that want to only work on the new stuff. If Google follows through on their adoption of it, I'm sure the compiler design will get the swift kick in the pants it deserves (pun intended.)

You working in Swift on a commercial product release? I have worked with several whom say it is not mature enough for production code.

Then there is that bizarre Forth community that goes back to the Apple ][ days and it is somehow still supported on the Mac.

I know of plenty of companies, including my own, that write production apps either completely in Swift or mixed Objc/Swift.

I thought it was like $400-500 and I thought that was expensive, but $1599 is a bit rich.
Why are tickets so expensive?
Because Apple is a greedy pig, that's why. And if they don't announce new physical products and only software updates, I am switching to android.
The price for Microsoft Build was $2,195, and that didn't include any freebies this year.

NEW super-thin MacBook Pro with super powerful dGPU!

It runs so hot that the dGPU fails after a couple of years!

GPUgate redux!

To everyone complaining about cost, have you been to professional conferences before? They're not cheap. And for many developers, their employer pays anyway.

Dont forget to add why they are so cheap with storage on a 600$ device. 12GB (no, not 16) is laughable these days.
Oh and while you're at it, please mention the 5400rpm hard drives in iMacs :D
