Still an F2.2 aperture? Dang.

Still, it will be my next phone. I'm really getting curious about the A9 though. Looks like we're still at 2 cores seeing the opened up A9 on the slides with the M9, but I wanna know the RAM in it.

The camera looks like a nice upgrade, those where som challenging conditions they managed to capture nicely.

Now if they could just make it in a pocketable size and the back flat again, I would be all over it :)

I actually think these phones look pretty good. The new color doesn't look to shabby, it's faster, and has better cameras. A typical S phone update, and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

The site's live:

If we take a look at how Apple portrays the 3D touch tech, it looks more and more it's some form of OLED. If it is, I'm really curious as to why Apple didn't tell us about it.

Also looks like the 6S+ is the only one with OIS. Bummer, but somewhat expected. And is that a new Space Grey color I see?

Super underwhelmed, little more than the least that was expected (even sans-rumors)

And 16GB as base model... At this point I'll just stop pointing it out (mind you, I'll likely forget about this idea quickly).

Looks like it's not 2GB :( I only say this because there's absolutely nothing mentioned on the tech specs page (http://www.apple.com/iphone-6s/specs/). I could be wrong, but I'm not getting the sense at all that 2GB of RAM is included. :( I hope I'm wrong.

He didn't mention 2GB RAM. WTH?

they don't mention things like that. It'll come on the site later

Actually they never list that information on the site. These aren't Macs. They don't talk about that—even though they brag about a desktop-class processor. You have to wait for confirmation via Geekbench reviewer or a teardown by iFixit, etc.

Also no mention of battery life. If it's not at least on par with the 6 and 6+, it's a dealbreaker. Seems to me they'd need to beef things up to handle all that stuff, not reduce the size as rumored. Disconcerting.

I'm not impressed by the 6S at all. And for once, I'm kinda glad about that. Cause I'm very interested in the iPad Pro and ATV. So now I get to save some money.. :)

I thought so too, until Jony mentioned the backlight.

So no OLED then?
Apparently it's the same type of screen as the 6, 6 Plus, and 5S. If you go to the new compare models page, all the iPhone models show the same "LED backlight", including the new ones.

iPhone 6S 128GB Space Gray for me. I had recently cut down a lot of the cruft on my iPhone and was considering going down to a 64GB model. But between 4K video and these new live photo things (what are they called?) and 12mp stills it's going to take up a lot of space!

Did anyone else see the new leather cases in that video? They look like they have a different texture. I know they mentioned new colors too. I'm definitely interested in checking that out.

In confused, did they rename force touch? Or is it only called 3d touch for the iPhone? What's the difference?

I thought that the separate name was a little strange too. I thought at first it meant there wasn't feedback, but then they showed it did...

There must be something different enough between them that they see them possibly being used differently in the future that they wanted it to be distinct.

That GPU is going to be extremely under-utilized. It'll held back by crappy mobile software library... Angry Birds, 8-bit flash game crap and all.
