Really good to hear. I’m constantly switching from a case to the Torro sleeve. The Torro sleeve is starting to darken nicely while my leather case is just kind of scuffed up.
If a Apple sleeve is offered in the future, I will probably will buy one for the next phone as well. Glad you like the Torro. Their leader products are very nice.

Just picked up the Baltic blue leather sleeve for my 12 Pro Max. Some impressions:

+ Premium leather quality and feels soft and supple in the hands. I would say this is the same type of leather used in the leather wallet. The leather case is definitely not made of the same material or leather.
+ Phone feels secure in the sleeve and you have to shake it really hard a few times for it to start sliding out
+ Sliding the phone in and out is not that difficult and should get better over time as the leather loosens
+ Matching clock colour and background is nicely done
+ Using the phone caseless feels great and lets me appreciate the design more.
+ Slot for cards will take 2 cards comfortably and a very tight squeeze for 3 cards

- Sleeve is very wide and makes the 12 Pro Max feel even bigger. The overall width of the sleeve is 95mm.
- No interaction with the cut out window other than tapping it to see the clock or to see the charge percentage. I do not understand why there is a speaker cut out if Apple’s intention is not to let you interact with the phone or take a phone call. They could’ve just made the sleeve completely enclosed with no cutouts. There must be a software update coming.
- Have not taken out the lanyard from the packaging. Seems to be more suited for ladies who like to carry their phone with the lanyard around their wrist.

Overall it’s a very high quality sleeve that protects the phone. If you are those who are on the phone 24/7 (including when you’re walking on the sidewalk) then this sleeve is not for you.

I think it’s for those who like to put away their phone and want to disconnect from it when you’re working or in the office or going out for dinner and need to focus on the person in front of you.

I will be keeping this until after Xmas and see if it suits my needs.

How's the magnetic hold/strength of the MagSafe Wallet on the Apple Sleeve vs MagSafe Wallet on naked iPhone? Probably not as strong as on a naked iPhone, but is it strong enough?

Using Apple Sleeve with MagSafe Wallet attached is probably awkward? With the lanyard you can take phone out of the Sleeve to take a call, and meanwhile the Sleeve would be hanging off your wrist but you would need to attach the MagSafe Wallet to the phone while taking the call. Or without the lanyard, you would take the phone out of the Sleeve to use, but now would have to either attach the MagSafe Wallet to the naked phone or put the Sleeve and MagSafe Wallet in your pocket while holding and using the phone.

I'm back with some thoughts on my latest sleeve - this time the Lucrin "Classic Case".

  • Yellow is less bright then pictured, more of a "sunflower' yellow. Lots of colors to chose from though,
  • Leather feels great, soft texture. Very soft interior.
  • Sleeve is more fitted than the one from Hardgraft. A bit tougher to get phone in and out but it's already starting to break in.
  • Slightly smaller profile compared to Hardgraft.
  • No room for cards on this version, although they do offer a version with external card storage.
  • Camera bump is more noticeable on this sleeve due to the more fitted structure. (see 2nd picture)
Pleased with both sleeves, I feel like each has slight advtages over the other. The Lucrin is probably a better value though based on the price + shipping of the Hardgraft.

Have you ever had a Joli sleeve? If yes, how would it compare to the Hardgraft and Lucrin? I have the Joli, and going by the pictures, the felt inside the Joli is thicker than the Hardgraft but the Hardgraft can hold 2 credit cards. The Joli doesn't have a cutout at the bottom which is good and bad. Good because lint won't get inside the speaker holes or the lightning plug, bad because you have to take phone out to charge it. I don't know why, but my pockets seems to have more lint than most people, and I need to use canned air and toothpicks once in a while. Maybe I'm not washing my clothes correctly.

Would you say the Lucrin is protective enough from a drop at waist level height without felt lining? I would say the Joli is more than protective enough with its thick felt lining from a drop at waist level.

If the Hardgraft didn't have the cutout at the bottom, it seems it would be the ideal sleeve for me.

How’s your sleeve holding up so far? Are you using it exclusively or swapping between cases and the sleeve?
I switch between a Joli sleeve and a RhinoShield bumper. The bumper allows me to attach the MagSafe Wallet to the back of a naked phone while protecting the edges or the frame of the phone. The bumper also has an insert for the back of the bumper so that there's sufficient "lip" for the camera bump.

For me, with the bumper on an iPhone 12 it makes it a little too big (wide) to hold comfortably. But if I had a 12 mini on a bumper, then the MagSafe Wallet wouldn't attach as then the Wallet is too big for a 12 mini with a bumper.

Using my iPhone 12 with the Joli sleeve means I can only attach the Wallet when the phone is out of the sleeve and naked. Usually, when I use the Joli I have the MagSafe Wallet in another pocket.

I picked up a few more sleeve from Hardgraft. Very satisfied. One of them is a grey sleeve, the other a brown sleeve + wallet combo.

Hmm, both look good. How many cards can the grey hold? Two cards plus one banknote? And it's probably much slimmer than the brown one?

Grey can hold probably 3 cards on each side, or use one for cash. Grey is MUCH slimmer than the brown. Brown is bulky for sure but I eliminated my wallet for the time being since it has more space to stash stuff like insurance cards, etc.

Does anyone know if you can fit the Apple leather or silicone case in the apple sleeve for the iPhone 12 Pro Max?
Considering getting one but would love to be able to use a case sometimes in it :)

You can not fit any case with the sleeve regardless of how slim the profile is.....I nearly managed to get my phone stuck inside my sleeve when I tried a case inside the sleeve.....

Oh wow! Thank you for this! I probably would have done something similar.
I keep putting my phone in my bag and I cannot decide if something like this would be beneficial in keeping it from being scratched etc

I love the sleeve and to be honest I ended up getting a screen protector (I was really paranoid I would drop my phone without a case) and used that as extra insurance. I have an Apple Watch so I don't look at my phone a lot when out and about.....I have the sleeve in two different colors and rotate between cases and the sleeves. I had never used a sleeve before the Apple sleeve came out. :)

This is my first time as well. I like being able to use my phone naked now, and then slide back into the sleeve. I also like seeing the time in the window.

Kind of what I'm looking for. Use the phone naked, then place it back in the sleeve. Reminds me of my BlackBerry Bold 9700. First time ever I had a phone with a sleeve. Loved that.

I may be wrong here but, the case feels a little lighter than the Apple leather case. It also doesn’t feel slippery like the new Apple leather case does. I have grown fond of being able to use my mini naked while not traveling in my pocket.

Interesting.

Also, since you got a 13 mini, does the 12 mini sleeve fit?

Thinking about the camera bump.. since the 12 mini and 13 mini leather cases do not have identical cutouts for the camera. How does that 13 mini bump go in the 12 mini sleeve?

The 12 mini leather sleeve fits the 13 mini.
So after all this time, what are your thoughts on the leather sleeve? Do you use it often? Has the leather darkened at all and is there a prominent fold in the leather at the bottom where you pull the phone out?

I got one on launch but it felt too bulky for daily use so returned it…

I haven't used it daily like I did before getting the 13 mini silicone case. The citrus color leather sleeve shows minimal wear after almost a year with 95% daily use, and there is no prominent fold at the bottom. I think it is a very good sleeve albeit a bit overpriced. I don't regret my purchase.

Do you mind posting a pic of the 13 mini inside the sleeve? Thanks!

So the baltic blue leather sleeve arrived and my iPhone 13 Pro Max fits perfectly in it without issues.

My question is, iOS 15.1 still doesn’t allow any functionality of the phone inside the sleeve other than looking at the time right? eg. Pick up calls?

The little speaker cut out seems completely pointless then and the sleeve could’ve just been completely enclosed like the Joli and Lurcin sleeves.

Looks really good.

As far as I know, the screen cutout is still only used for basic notifications.
