Is the mag safe wallet worth it? I actually need a card holder to carry about 3 cards however I have heard the magnets are not strong and that its not worth it.

The worth it part is pretty subjective, but I’ll say the quality is very good and the functionality delivers. The magnets are actually pretty solid. I wouldn’t get too concerned about the mkbhd inspired fears of losing your wallet while pocketing. The magnets are meant to make it easily detachable so they're designed to shift and slide. I’d suggest picking one up and trying it out, including pocketing it. If it doesn’t work out simply return it if that’s possible where you live.

Do you have one? If yes what colour did you get and do you leave it attached to your phone at all times or do you keep the MagSafe wallet separate from your phone?

Yes I talked myself back into getting one, lol. I got saddle brown since I wanted a classic color. At home I have it on about 50% of the time, but as it gets more exposure to covidworld, I’ll only use it when going out. My thinking was: 1) I’m comfortable paying $60 USD for something I may only use for 12 months, and 2) I accept that I have to have an Apple silicone or leather case (as of now)...in order to enjoy the novelty for a couple of months.

Why do you have it on at home? it's not like you need it on since you're not using your cards....? So when youre going out you attach it to your phone and put it in your pocket? Are you not worried about it falling out? Also is it easy for the cards to fall out?

I thought long and hard about the Apple wallet, watched several reviews and thought "No - too expensive for what it is"
I've recently started using Apple Pay, despite the inconvenience of facial recognition when wearing a mask.
So I decided to give it a go, I can always send it back to Apple if I'm not happy with it.
When I came to place my (UK) order on Monday, I saw that the delivery estimate was the 6th January. Yesterday the order went to "Processing" and today I've had a notification that it has been despatched by Post ( so no tracking available ) with delivery by the 21st.
I've gone for the "Californian Poppy" which looks to me to be a sort of Orangey shade? I've got the Black Mini so the colours should go together well ( and match my Bicycle 👍)
One observation that pushed me towards giving it a try was the wallet looks as though it was designed for the mini, fitting the width of the phone exactly and adding a semi curve to make gripping the phone more comfortable.
I'll report back with Photo's when it arrives.

I have the mini, and I like the way it fits in my palm when I grip the phone. That’s the only reason I have it on at home. Yep, when I got out, I just grab it and stick it onto my case. But when I pay for something I usually have my card out before even walking into the store. I’ve been using a small card case for years so I’m kind of used to it. Not worried about it falling off at all. Honestly, I think that’s just a bunch of sour grapes (people wanting to hate the wallet) and/or sensationalism (youtubers need traffic and I don’t begrudge them for it).
Definitely not worried about cards falling out. It’s actually quite snug and some people have actually reported trouble getting cards out.

I bought one awhile back and returned it quickly because the cards were hard to get out. I probably should have given it more time. Decided to pick one up again using some bestbuy rewards makes this a $15 purchase. Picking up the saddle brown today to use with my blue phone and blue leather case.

Im debating if I should get the black leather case or the blue one. Which ever case colour I get is the same colour I will get the wallet.

Also leather takes some time getting used to. I had an expensive LV card holder and it was so stiff I thought it was fake even though I bought it from the LV shop in London. After about a week or so it did loosen up and the cards were easy to get out. This may be the case with this Apple Card holder/

I really like my saddle brown wallet. Have a black leather case on my white mini but debating getting the saddle or the blue case. Not sure if saddle-on-saddle would be too much for me. How do you like the blue leather case?

I like the blue leather buts it’s definitely darkening already. I think it will be black looking eventually. I just don’t like any of the other leather case colors to match the pacific blue.

First day with the black. Cards are really difficult to het out. Only way is to remove wallet and try sliding them through the hole in the rear side. Which is really hard so remember to put one card with embossed text against the rear. The wallet is also bulky, feels like a iPhone 7 battery case re size.

That is how you are suppose to use the wallet...🤡

I had an issue with my Baltic Blue Leather Wallet. The stitching on one the corners started to become loose. With my local store now out of stock no exchange was possible (still within return period). Spoke with Applecare Support over the phone and they sent me a replacement within 3 days and without any charge.

Wow thats sad to hear
How is the new one?
The fact that the stitching started to come off is worrying

My Wallet arrived today. California poppy, it goes well with the black 12 Mini. One issue is that the case that I was using ( https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08DKV6ZZ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) has a slightly raised edges on the back and although the wallet aligns with the magnets in the phone the grip is quite weak due to the edges holding the wallet slightly above the back of the case. I took the case off and the wallet fits very securely. I can slide the wallet off the phone when it is in my pocket, put it back in my pocket and it snaps into place on the back of the phone.
With the wallet on the naked phone it fits well in the hand but the phone feels quite slippy if I try and slide the wallet off while holding the phone in one hand. I think the ideal compromise would be a very thin case with grippy sides.
Cards slide in and out without issue ( I slide the wallet off the phone and push up from the slot in the rear of the wallet.
I'll give it a week, but initial feelings are ambivalent.

So youre not going to keep it?

I’m going to persevere with it and see if I get more used to it. I’ve got a couple of different phone cases coming as Christmas presents so I’ll see if a combination of one of those works better with the wallet.
