Just checked my order and it also switched back to my original color, but with a later Nov 25 - Dec 3 date. Whatever... I’ll just look out for earlier local Apple Store availability and cancel if needed.

The same thing happened to me I ordered a Black wallet yesterday at 8:07 am start of pre-orders with a delivery date Nov 3 - 10.

Last night it shows as Saddle Brown. I chat with Apple support they assure me it’s Black in their system just a glitch.

This morning it shows as Black and delivery dates are now Nov 25 - Dec 3.

They said over chat just now, “I understand where you’re coming from. It looks like due to the influx of orders from the pre-order beginning yesterday, we had to correct the color for the wallet that was placed in your order.”

They then said, “The black leather wallet is requiring 5-6 weeks to prepare at the warehouse which isn’t something we can expedite at this time.”

Others are right an email from  would have been nice explaining issue. I’ll keep my fingers crossed maybe it will revert to 11/3 - 11/10 ship date. If not maybe I can find it quicker at a store in early Nov and cancel the online order.
 
I'm back to brown. delivery was 10-17 Nov, now says 25 Nov - 3 Dec what the actual - F 🤬
I'm keeping this, but I'm going to watching for local stock. Get you inventory 💩 together Apple!
 
Mine still showing DELIVERED and COMPLETE. Been in chat with an Apple Specialist for about 1 hour but it's useless. The guy must be the dumbest person I have ever chat with. I'm calling instead to see if I can get this order cancelled and refunded then place a new order for a black wallet.
 
Finally got somebody to help over chat. The CS guy said that in his system it's showing a black wallet (which is the right wallet I ordered yesterday), not brown like in my online account which shows already DELIVERED. He said that the black wallet is marked as shipped but it's not showing a tracking number yet. This would explain why I have 2 x UPS tracking numbers showing in my UPS account. One for 0.8 lbs (black wallet) and the other for 1.4 lbs (iPhone 12 Pro). If that is the case, I should be receiving the black wallet at the same time as the iPhone 12 Pro. Lets hope for the best outcome.

Just order mine, since I don't need it until the PM comes out, hope by then I can go to my local Apple store and pick one up

For those who are in Australia, Officeworks has the black or saddle brown available for preorder and they deliver next Friday 23 Oct.
Cancelled mine with Apple and ordered one with them instead.

You guys wanna start a class action lawsuit against Apple? Let’s get them to settle with by giving us all new MagSafe accessories in every color
 
Hi guys. An update regarding my Apple Wallets issue. Like I explained before, I ordered on pre order day a California poppy wallet and a black wallet. Next day the black wallet changed to brown without any reason. Called Apple and they said all was good in their side and most likely was a glitch in the system. On Sunday the brown wallet was showing as delivered. Called Apple again and they said all was good in their side. Just in case, I ordered a second black wallet for delivery end of Nov. This morning I noticed that the brown one was back again to Order Received and a new black wallet was showing in the same order with delivery for Nov 27th but the price was $0. Just a few mins ago, got a text from Apple asking me to contact them because they had a problem processing my order (I have like 5 orders currently with Apple). The order with the problem was the one with the wallets. Long story short, I'm getting the California poppy and the brown wallets on Nov 10th and the black wallet for FREE on Nov 27th. Apple Specialist said that they are giving the black or brown wallet for free to those who ordered them and got the mismatch problem in their orders. :)

Does your original order now show Saddle Brown or does it still show the error of the Black wallet? I also ordered a Saddle Brown, turned to Black, but is now back to being Saddle Brown. Wondering if this would work for me.

I need get back in touch with them cause the specialist seems to have dropped out of the chat, but my order shows saddle brown again and has since the morning after the error appeared, just with delayed delivery dates. I assume this is a recent conversation with a specialist, after your order color had changed back to the original. How did you go about asking for an additional wallet?

I didn't, I chatted with a specialist after seeing enricoclaudio's post above mine, and explained the error I saw, and they informed me about the two wallets

I ordered saddle brown initially for 10 Nov delivery and current order showing for black with 27th Nov. Hope something can be sorted from this

Amazon, Best Buy, and Verizon have them listed. None in stock at the moment.

Good to hear! I just chatted with a specialist about this same type of issue, but they only offered to expedite my shipping. I wasn’t going to push it, but I’m glad to see some are getting a free wallet out of it.
 
I had the same Brown > Black > Brown order confirmation weirdness as a few others on here and my order status now shows Nov 24 - Dec 2, later than my original estimate. I just called Apple support and they told me that it's actually scheduled to come on 10/22 and to ignore the Apple order status estimate 🤷‍♂️

I just called  support. They said there may be a mixup on product #s and high demand for the wallet. She said give it sometime to work itself out. She spoke with another wallet customer earlier whose order kept changing. She said perhaps it will revert to the original delivery dates. It sounds like they don’t really know what’s going on. I wasn’t offered anything free. I guess I’ll just wait and see what happens.
 
I’ve dropped the store support team an email, hopefully will get a free wallet too, it’s the least they can do for pushing back my delivery almost a month.. 💪
