Anyone KEEPING the wallet order despite the reviews?

I’m keeping my order for now. I can always return it if it doesn’t work well. I’ll have a silicone MagSafe case on too. Maybe that will make for a stronger magnetic connection than just the iPhone alone. I agree with UrAverageConsumer in his video. I definitely wouldn’t use a MagSafe wallet with a regular, non-MagSafe case.

What’s hilarious is that it took reviews to realize how dumb this was. Lol

I still think its a good idea. Despite us living in a nearly 100% contactless world now, I still have to carry a very small wallet with a card in it and my driving license. This would have saved me having to do that (1st world problem I know). Given just how strong the magnets are in the iPad Pro w/Magic Keyboard, I didn't expect this implementation to be any different tbh.

Okay this seems to work. I'm confused.

It's a order and return if I notice problems situation it seems

I think it was the MKBHD video where he put the wallet on and it didn't seem to snap strongly in to place like I was expecting - it was on a bit squint and didn't seem to snap in to place.

I'll keeping my order. Didn't plan to always have this on my phone, more use it like a nice "summer accessories", when going to the beach or a short stop at the mall when the weather says it's time for shorts. Most of the time my Secrid wallet will carry my cards.

So many drama queens here. Another non-issue. Stretch your pocket out to fit your hand as you’re putting your phone in. Or put your phone in facing forward.
Not drama queens at all. Just identifying a potential risk as demonstrated by some reviewers.
Stretching the pocket, if it is stretchable is one thing that people will have to now consider unless as you say, they remember to put their phones in forward which they may not always remember to do.
The wallet has limitations as people still carry cash, id cards, several payment cards. They are not all going to fit in the wallet so a purse or traditional wallet of some description will still be required unless as previously mentioned, someone is travelling light to somewhere like the beach....then a smaller apple wallet makes sense as it can be attached to the phone and slipped in to a bag

This is gonna be a case by case scenario due to baggy pants and what not. I'll take a look and drop some feedback with photos and videos.

No magnet strong enough would prevent the wallet from falling off if used like that, so it’s not design flaw or anything. I’ve never put my phone in my pocket the way the reviewer did in the video and I bet most people do not either. If you like to wear hot pants then maybe review your choices..

I never put a phone in a trouser pocket, if I'm not in a blazer ill carry it.
3 card capacity + Apple Pay is fine, agree with the drama queen comment!

I'm keeping my two paid wallets and the one I got for free :) Those doing reviews of the Apple Wallet with only the MagSafe Case and without the iPhone 12/12 Pro are useless as the magnet in the phone itself is stronger than the one on the case.

Nope it’s dumb. The fact you want to carry a few cards isn’t dumb. But there’s cases for that with wallets built in. Not hanging on by a magnet. You’re simply asking for problems later.

Agreed - now thanks to Apple you can lose your phone, cards and cash in one go!

Perhaps all a ploy to sell apple shoes so your forced to walk home...

I carry a debit card, drivers licence, blood donor card, cash and a photo of my daughter in my wallet. There is no way thats all fitting in the Apple Wallet.

Dont forget that you will need to have room for an Airtag for when you do lose the wallet ;)

With that mindset all women would be doomed with their handbags 🤷‍♂️

"Apple said my wallet would be here by November 10, but now they say it will be here by November 25. They owe me a free wallet." What a disgusting thing to say.

MacRumors users being whiny over a non-issue and a strange card placement that most people won't do? Never! :p

I'm keeping mine. Nobody puts their phone like that

The theory is that Apple made this removable MagSafe wallet so people with wallet case can charge their phones when they inevitably remove the lightning port with the next 2021 iPhone.

I ordered the pro, but I'm looking forward to getting the 5.4" next year if they plan on continuing the line.
