Apple should concentrate on extending the battery life more so than making the iPhone thinner.

I feel like a broken record for saying this, but I wish Apple would keep the thickness the same and use the extra space for a bigger battery.

I couldn't agree more. Whenever anyone mentions the OBVIOUS poor battery life of iPhones, blinkered fanboys argue otherwise as if the multitude of people who likely actually USE their iPhone instead of only texting with it are just insulting them in some way for suggesting they're lying.

She said it was too thin...

Trying to make the iPhone thinner? How about focusing all that technical effort on making the battery actually last the whole day instead of trying to thin the device. It's already thin enough. Make it so I can us it as an actual phone all day….

Actually I think the current thickness is OK - give me a larger screen and a battery that lasts for a long time. Improve iOS. Fix Maps outside the US. That's all I want Apple....

Hello!

Which one is that true, previous article said iPhone 6 launch in September, but it said in June.

Thinner = harder and less comfortable to hold. I even miss the curved back of the iPhone 3G and 3Gs. They should focus on shrinking the dated bezel thickness of the top and bottom and of course making the screen bigger. The thickness of my 5s is fine as is.

I already think the iPhone is a bit too thin for comfort in my hand. But it's perfect with a case on it so I guess its the best of both worlds for those who like it thin, and those who like it thick. (There must be a euphemism in there somewhere.)

That's what she said!

Make the battery last longer!

Make the battery last longer!

Make the battery last longer!

Thank you!

Everything Apple makes is thin, slippery and easy to drop. You almost need a case for the iPad and iPhone and the MBA is slippery to, but at least it's a little bigger to get a better grip. Thin for the sake of being thin isn't so hot, IMO.

That's why I most people have a case on everything small and breakable.

Except for the iPod Classic, which was the size of a cigarette pack, I have dropped everything else.

While I like the look of the iPhone (BrAun fan since the 60s) it is more important to save what it would cost to replace.

How light is too light? I like just a touch of heft myself. The weight of the 4s was my comfort zone.

I have the 4s and use a current ipod touch around the house, and man am I pissed when I have to swap them out to leave the house. 88 grams in my pocket is awesome, and I could see even lighter not be an issue. I bet they get below 100g with iphone 6. I would love a 50g iphone mini personally.

4.7" + better battery and I would give serious consideration to the next iPhone. Otherwise, it's either Samsung, HTC, or Nokia. I would like to finally have an iPhone in the mix when Sept. rolls around and I get a new phone. Thinner and lighter? Not really high on my want list.

Apple generally boosts battery life AND reduces bulk. It's not a binary either-or.

Meanwhile my Android friends have to carry extra batteries, chargers and cables everywhere, and I STILL can't call them in the evening because they're out of power. Their phones drain even when used lightly or not at all. Obviously, they have the wrong apps installed and are not managing their processes and resources diligently. Problems that plague many Android users; the same, thankfully, cannot be said of iOS.
