their system for doing so is pretty weak anyway. There are like no follow up questions. They just ask the model and guess. The big surprise comes after you already sent it back and they provide you the actual value.
By auto do you mean cars? I never mentioned anything about that in my comment. How can your state have tax savings on auto yet not on tech product? Very wierd.
I tried several times, but you wouldn’t stop going on and and on and on about it. ?Wait, I thought you were "ignoring the petty semantics"? Guess not. Since you obviously want the last word on it, I won't even respond to the above and leave it at that.
Glad we agree then. No, I don't think that, so you can keep your bridge.
If you bought your iMac from Apple 10 days ago, and you don’t want it anymore, just return it. There’s no need for the trade in process there.not really old. I bought iMac 24 10 days ago ?
I was thinking about trading my 2018 13” the other day, and last time I looked, I think it was worth close to $500 in trade. Today, it’s $270.Holy crap, thank god I just traded in my 2018 15” MacBook Pro two weeks ago. The trade-in value when from $730 to $400!!
I was thinking to keep it 2/3 months and then upgrade with Mac book pro $1999..... but at this point I will keep it. too much lost of value ..... I love this iMac 24If you bought your iMac from Apple 10 days ago, and you don’t want it anymore, just return it. There’s no need for the trade in process there.
Does Apple really care about recycling? They make computers you can't upgrade or fix (for the most part) yourself. So when something goes bad like a hard drive, out of warranty, most people are going to toss it. Just about anything goes wrong outside of warranty and it probably makes more sense looking for a refurb new Mac and junking the old Mac. On the other hand lots of people find junk yard PC's that still run, can be fixed easily if they don't and can make learning tools as well as reasonable gaming computers for kids who are not looking for specs but to simply play minecraft or fortnight.
You mean, that Apple get paid for the "convenience" factor. You get tremendously more value when you sell at ebayutterlyy normal, they are older devices - value depreciates over time.
Post and run? quite an accusation.Typically, when members ‘post and run’ posting “Planned obsolescence”, but don’t back their statement with any credibility or explanation of why they say or believe that, then I suspect those same people don’t understand planned obsolescence actually means.
It’s akin to saying ‘Bend-gate’, but I find the majority people have no idea what ‘gate’ actually refers to legitimately, they just jump on the ‘bash Apple bandwagon’, which doesn’t fly for those of us who contest if that member actually knows what they’re referring to/talking about.

Repairing is anti-recycling. It's hinder something from getting recycled.
Loving recycling and repairing is like loving divorce and marriage counselling at the same time. Doesn't make sense.
Weird. I just tried the trade in for my 2018 13" MBP with 4 TB ports, and it shows $0/recycle!I was thinking about trading my 2018 13” the other day, and last time I looked, I think it was worth close to $500 in trade. Today, it’s $270.
Mine is a 512GB version, with no physical damage or problems. I just checked again and it still offers $270.Weird. I just tried the trade in for my 2018 13" MBP with 4 TB ports, and it shows $0/recycle!
I sent in a 256gb SSD 21” iMac as a trade in. They quoted $380. Then they revised it to zero and said the backlight isn’t working. So I had them return it. The backlight is working fine and I even ran Apple’s own hardware test on it and it showed no issue anywhere. So the trade in process was full of sh*t.
Ah, I answered the "is it free from swelling" question incorrectly. Yes, mine shows $255.Mine is a 512GB version, with no physical damage or problems. I just checked again and it still offers $270.
That's because the mail in trades are handled by Phobio. They are notoriously for pulling **** like this. Always take it into a real Apple store in order to get the correct trade in value.I sent in a 2019 256gb SSD 21” iMac as a trade in. They quoted $380. Then they revised it to zero and said the backlight isn’t working. So I had them return it. The backlight is working fine and I even ran Apple’s own hardware test on it and it showed no issue anywhere. So the trade in process was full of sh*t.
On the other hand I send them a bunch of old computers clients had thrown out and they gave $75-200 for each of them.
There’s already a Marketplace forum here for that, but it’s not available until after a period of membership and participation.Maybe this site could get into connecting people who want to trade ! Might be a cash earner !
