Hi guys, I recently reinstalled my Apple Mail and setup my imap accounts. I tried moving messages that were in a subfolder (563 messages altogether) under the account name into the 'Sent' folder with the paper airplane icon. It looked like it was transfering but then I got an error that it failed to move and then all the messages went missing! I had tested moving with one message beforehand and it worked.

Any suggested solution to this guys?

iCloud (I assume) or another provider? Going by the warning icons, all I can suggest is give it some time to sync maybe? It possibly (and I’m guessing here) hasn’t fully synced when you moved the messages?

Hi, it's another provider, an imap account. It's been a few days, so should've synced. The warning sign is for an Hotmail account, which I'm having trouble setting up too, but that's another story.. heheh.

Ok, an update, a few days later, a folder called 'Recovered Messages' appeared. It looks like it's the missing emails however, its not complete as it has only 362 messages when the original had 563 messages.

I had also tried again to move the messages from a backup sent folder I had in small batches of 25 messages. But even that doesn't really work. Every time I move them, some messages dissapear, as in I move 25, but only half gets moved, the other half dissapears to who knows where. Am so frustrated! 😩
