Mine got shipped earlier today. FedEx says I'll have it Wednesday Thursday.

A TV4 invite is pretty cool but a 6S+ invite would be an order of magnitude much more useful overall. I think I'd have to have Candy Crush dev stats to get that invite.

The question is, will the affordable developer TV4 influence you to make or port apps?

I think Apple should've just offered every paid developer an Apple TV Dev Kit for $50 or half off retail, rather than this lottery that offered a lucky few for just a dollar.

I very much doubt they would have had enough units to go around every developer and get them out on time for retail. So they did what was fairest I think, random selection. After all it's not as if they had to do it at all. I expected to buy one from the moment it was announced last month, so it makes no difference.

I don't know that it'll be US only, maybe, but with millions of registered developers and likely a comparatively tiny amount of developer units to go around. Well, we're not likely to hear about a lot of them.

It's not only for the US - I live in France and just got mine (second wave..).
Cheers, Paul

Just got mine too.. But, I guess I'm not allowed to say anything about it.

Other than I will confirm that the 2nd wave didn't have the USB-C cables. Pity 🙁

I got mine too. Updated to the latest beta. AirPlay works with ios9 which was broken on the atv2. A little disappointed the apps like Netflix etc are not available. Looking forward to updating this to the regular version once it is released.

Nope, best not break the first rule of Apple TV club. Now, tell us all about it 😀

You can get USB-C cables on eBay for £2, or whatever your local currency is.
