Delete and re add your mobile me/mac account on your iOS device and see what happens

Done it many times, to my iPad (and second iPhone 4), jailbroken them many times, no issues. I guess some .Mac accounts are experiencing these issues?

Quite a few

Checked on this and it looked like an issue with iOS 4.2, seems to be resolved in 4.3
