Maps' problem for me (in the SF Bay Area) has more to do with the reduced quality of the satellite maps tiles than anything else. iPhone 5 screen doesn't do me much good on Maps if the pictures are blurry.

looks like this is finally wrapping up.

So the completely un-scientific poll suggest that 70% satisfied to 30% not statisfied.

My guess is most of the un-happy votes for Apple maps come from macrumors users outside the US.

IMHO

I like how it can wake my iphone and work though the lockscreen. it ties in to the top bar on the phone if it is doing something else, and the text is clean and easy to read. However, night mode either doesn't exist or doesn't work for me, and there are missing features, like lane assist, an accurate speedometer and street views of the house I'm supposed to turn into.

I grew to like navigon nagging me to control my lead foot. It's improved my fuel economy.

Apple Maps is meeting my needs just fine and the integration with Siri pushes it into the exceeds expectations category. But then our main usage area is Minneapolis - Saint Paul which isn't a major area so Apple should get it right.

My only gripe is a minor misspelling of a business or POI renders no results. I would think Apple could provide some soundex phonetic spelling technology to offer up some "did you mean...." choices. Example: I was looking for a bakery named Pardon My French but actually typed "Parden My French". No result set.

Apple Maps in Singapore is really bad. Many clouds blocking most parts, locations missing, and many POIs missing as well. Been waiting for Apple to make improvements, but as time passes, nothing has been done yet :(
