In 2013 a saturated look gave me a headache, toning it down made it no better than led in my opinion. Not to mention the burn in.

It doesn't change in one plus years the technology could mature a bit and when cook made those comments he felt it wasn't ready for prime time.

Back to the point - did you miss the graphic - the Most Color Accurate Display: Samsung OLED #1, iPhone6Plus #5?

People, CEOs, BoDs change their minds all the time. Samsung removed the SD slot then put it back. Meh.

He didn't change his mind - he was SAYING that before because he was trying to talk down Samsung's OLED.
It was not true - refer to the independent testing above.

Nothing like removing SD lots or not. At all. Your logic is Meh :)

I don't care about the graphic is my point, and maybe his.

Right. Because you personally know other people's motivation....given as you know him personally oh so well....

So removing an SD slot and then putting it back isn't a change in direction for a company. OK.

I find your position to be.....meh.....nothing that I'd go by....:

It may be unattractive to you but most reviewers call it the most beautiful phone ever....there is nothing unattractive about the S7 edge but their is sure alot of unattractiveness in the iPhone 6s plus. ...

"Most reviewers" huh... I haven't seen a whole lot of unanimous agreement saying that Samsung has done a stellar job with its phones as of late. They overheat pretty consistently and they keep adding and removing random features. Water resistant? S5 and S7 had it, not in the S6. SD card? S5 and S7 have it, but not the S6. Design? S5 was plastic, S6 and 7 are mostly glass. Working at T-Mobile, I'd say about 3/4 of the defective phones that come back in with battery or heating issues are Samsung phones. Nowhere near as many iPhones or LGs come back with problems.

I would agree that the S7 is a good-looking phone, at least in the black color; I heartily disagree that the S7 Edge is attractive in any way. The iPhone 5s/SE design is probably my favorite that Apple has done so far, but the 6s/6sPlus design is definitely better than the bulky camera, awkward curves and gaudy gold color of the S6 and S7 Samsung's (yes, despite the protruding camera and antenna lines on the iPhone).

Can Apple do better? Yes, but I don't think Samsung's current offerings would qualify as "better." I'd probably place the S7 (not the Edge) as comparable in design to the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. I think glass on both sides is attractive (S6/7 or iPhone 4/4s style), but whether it's Apple or Samsung doing it, you're just begging people to break the phone, so I'm skeptical.

It's not about change of direction at all here - read what he said: OLED is awful, inaccurate color. When it was well known at the time that OLED technology provided the most accurate color.

Change of direction happens, and it's good, but what we're talking about is falsehoods to talk down opponents technology, rather than being honest. That's all I ask; competition is good, falsehoods are not.

Beat them with better products, not falsehoods. At the time Samsung's screens were getting a lot of positive press and customer comments. Otherwise why even make all these comments?

And wrt to "other people's motivation" please tell me another reason for him telling a known untruth?

Let's get one thing straight, I only discussed change in direction. I couldn't care less about OLED, I'm not hung up on specs like some are.
As far as getting into people's motivation, I'm not in the habit of answering for others. And again, I don't give enough about OLED to try to support or dispute someone's opinion.

I spoke about a change in direction.

SD slot, no SD slot, SD slot. Change in direction.

Obviously it's all opinion but most are loving what Samsung have brought out with the S7/S7 edge

Certainly seem to of fixed the past issues with ram management for example and bringing back SD slot.

Very quick as expected with great specs. Best designed phone on the market that takes advantage of the screen which many see as the best, Apple need to step their game up as another average upgrade and they will fall behind if they aren't already

For a phone with such a great screen, it's pretty impressive how they all have burn-in at the T-Mobile I work at. Hoping someone figures that issue out before Apple puts it in an iPhone (if they do).
