That's interesting you should note that. I'm...over 29; I have found my home computer use really decreasing and my phone use marginally increasing. It's been a while since I needed a new computer.Classic Apple and fanboys loving the mobile items and skipping the iMac as usual
Which is precisely what I want.
Just a wild guess, but maybe refreshed AirPod Pros? I’ve been shopping for some for a few weeks now and they don’t seem to be readily available anywhere. Is it because of what’s going on in China or is it because they’re doing a minor refresh? I don’t know, but they need to get those back in stock.
My wife won't take anything larger than 4".
iPhone. Won't take an iPhone larger than 4"!
What I'd like to see at this event:
- MacBook Pro 14"
- AMD CPU or APU, at least 6 cores
- New keyboard
- At least 32GB RAM
- WiFi 6 / 802.11ax
- Better AMD graphics than the integrated Intel junk
- LTE capable option (doubt we'll see 5G, but preferable)
- Better FaceTime camera - would it kill them to include something above 720p in a multi-thousand dollar professional laptop? 1080p at a minimum, but 1440p or 4K preferred. I take a lot of remote meetings with coworkers and clients now and don't want to have to clip a better camera onto my laptop, especially since I'm keeping this thing until at least 2026.
- Improved speakers
- HomePod Mini
- $149
- Good sounding, quality speakers, just not room filling ultimate sound like regular HomePod
- AUX input, either analog or optical
- BT 5.0
- Linkable for stereo output
- iPhone SE 2
- Larger display in roughly the same iPhone SE sized body, maybe just a little larger like the iPhone X compared to the iPhone 8
- Liquid Retina display
- Face ID
- Rounded edges
- At least the same normal camera from iPhone 11/Pro
- At least an A12 with 3GB RAM
- $599 price
- AirTags
- Qi rechargeable, last for many months
- Locate with AR or ping sound
- Option to sound alarm if moved within a certain distance away from the iPhone
- $49 or less
Same here. Heck I would keep my 5 year old iPhone 6 if the lightening connector wasn't going flakey.
Something very close to that has been on sale in Japan for more than a year. The Sharp Aquos R2 Compact has a 5.2-inch screen in a chassis the same size as the current iPhone SE. The two notches are a bit unslightly, but I definitely could get used to them. Unfortunately, for those of us who prefer iOS, the R2 Compact runs Android. (I have nothing against Android, I just prefer iOS.)A true SE2 like this design would have been the best thing since the introduction of the first iPhone:
As long as the new iPhone SE2 has the same low weight, easy handling without a cover because of grippable edges like on the previous model, a classic headphone jack for us using better headphones than Apple care to sell, better camera than in iPhone SE, than I will likely get one, but as I am not sure this will happen I got a new battery for my iPhone SE (cost incl. installation $40, which is less than a new iPhone after all ...).

iPhone SE2? Lmao. It’s just another iPhone 6 with better specs.
Your use of the word “claustrophibically” means you don’t understand the usefulness of a smaller screen. Unless you’re in the NBA, phones now have such enormous screens that even standard-size devices are impossible to use one-handed without risking dropping it. They’re ON your hand, not IN it. And they keyboard trick is a useless gimmick. I still have my old 4 for nostalgia, and it’s just perfect. I challenge anyone in this forum to GRASP their phone (doesn’t count unless your fingertips curl around the edge at the last joints) and reach their thumb to an opposite corner. See? You must either rest it on your fingers or use it with two hands. And that’s to say nothing of pocketability, or last thereof. In my jeans the top centimeter pokes above the pocket, as if to say, “Take me!” And I’m not getting a man purse. I’m not watching cinema on my phone. I just want the size Jobs said was just right for the hand. Because it still is.I'm genuinely curious to know why you have interest in the SE devices if you already have an 11 Pro? Not sniping.. just understanding the use case.
For me personally, news about a new SE that's not going with that claustrophobically small display, when I have a very tired iPhone 7 waiting to be replaced but don't want to spend iPhone XR or 11/11 Pro money is great news.
I guess you can't please everyone. The more devices, the more picky people are. It was so much easier when it was just.. iPhone. The one model!![]()
I'm looking forward to the iPhone 9 announcement not because I want to get it, but so that people can finally stop calling it the "iPhone SE 2" once Apple announces its official name.
