I'll be very happy with an iPhone 8 design, with upgraded chip and camera. Could even be an iPhone 8 camer, as I'd be upgrading from my iPhone SE. I used to be dead set against a larger phone, but my computer use continues to transfer over to phone use, so the tradeoff between screen size and handedness is balancing out.

Classic Apple and fanboys loving the mobile items and skipping the iMac as usual
That's interesting you should note that. I'm...over 29; I have found my home computer use really decreasing and my phone use marginally increasing. It's been a while since I needed a new computer.

Just a wild guess, but maybe refreshed AirPod Pros? I’ve been shopping for some for a few weeks now and they don’t seem to be readily available anywhere. Is it because of what’s going on in China or is it because they’re doing a minor refresh? I don’t know, but they need to get those back in stock.

Please just NO! People are getting so spoilt these days. The AirPod Pros were introduced recently and how often do you want a refresh from earphones? :D :D :D
Come on man, be real here!

Curious on the new phone although going back to a small screen might feel weird. I’m an 8-plus user who jumped from the 5S (which still works well).

Picking up that older phone feels so strange to use now. Although I’ve never enjoyed the camera/software on the 8-plus. 5S images appeared better.

Hoping for an updated Apple TV - my third-generation needs replacing!

My wife won't take anything larger than 4".

iPhone. Won't take an iPhone larger than 4"!

What I'd like to see at this event:
  • MacBook Pro 14"
    • AMD CPU or APU, at least 6 cores
    • New keyboard
    • At least 32GB RAM
    • WiFi 6 / 802.11ax
    • Better AMD graphics than the integrated Intel junk
    • LTE capable option (doubt we'll see 5G, but preferable)
    • Better FaceTime camera - would it kill them to include something above 720p in a multi-thousand dollar professional laptop? 1080p at a minimum, but 1440p or 4K preferred. I take a lot of remote meetings with coworkers and clients now and don't want to have to clip a better camera onto my laptop, especially since I'm keeping this thing until at least 2026.
    • Improved speakers
  • HomePod Mini
    • $149
    • Good sounding, quality speakers, just not room filling ultimate sound like regular HomePod
    • AUX input, either analog or optical
    • BT 5.0
    • Linkable for stereo output
  • iPhone SE 2
    • Larger display in roughly the same iPhone SE sized body, maybe just a little larger like the iPhone X compared to the iPhone 8
    • Liquid Retina display
    • Face ID
    • Rounded edges
    • At least the same normal camera from iPhone 11/Pro
    • At least an A12 with 3GB RAM
    • $599 price
  • AirTags
    • Qi rechargeable, last for many months
    • Locate with AR or ping sound
    • Option to sound alarm if moved within a certain distance away from the iPhone
    • $49 or less

I really am looking forward to this new iPad Pro. The updates will be minor, but a backlit keyboard case, improved performance, and an improved camera will all be nice improvements. Personally, I'm also hoping that they improve the display so that it has deeper blacks: that miniLED tech can't come soon enough.

That would be nice, but I think you are going to be very disappointed.

Same here. Heck I would keep my 5 year old iPhone 6 if the lightening connector wasn't going flakey.

Pro tip:

Check inside the lightning port to see if there’s any debris lodged inside, if there is; you can use a toothpick to pry it out. [Do not use compressed air.] If there’s lint or any other debris inside the port, that can cause inconsistency with the charging frequency.

As long as the new iPhone SE2 has the same low weight, easy handling without a cover because of grippable edges like on the previous model, a classic headphone jack for us using better headphones than Apple care to sell, better camera than in iPhone SE, than I will likely get one, but as I am not sure this will happen I got a new battery for my iPhone SE (cost incl. installation $40, which is less than a new iPhone after all ...).

A true SE2 like this design would have been the best thing since the introduction of the first iPhone:
Something very close to that has been on sale in Japan for more than a year. The Sharp Aquos R2 Compact has a 5.2-inch screen in a chassis the same size as the current iPhone SE. The two notches are a bit unslightly, but I definitely could get used to them. Unfortunately, for those of us who prefer iOS, the R2 Compact runs Android. (I have nothing against Android, I just prefer iOS.)

Heh I went ya one better awhile back while they were selling SEs on the refurb shelves and bought a 128GB SE as a spare... just in case they would end up NEVER bringing another little phone. At least I'll have something now if I do something stupid with my original SE. Juggling the grocery money around for that refurb was interesting, but at least I got something ready to roll as a jeans-pocket-sized cellphone if I ever need it, and meanwhile it has served as a WiFi-only dispenser of podcasts and music in my living room.

I'm genuinely curious to know why you have interest in the SE devices if you already have an 11 Pro? Not sniping.. just understanding the use case.

For me personally, news about a new SE that's not going with that claustrophobically small display, when I have a very tired iPhone 7 waiting to be replaced but don't want to spend iPhone XR or 11/11 Pro money is great news.

I guess you can't please everyone. The more devices, the more picky people are. It was so much easier when it was just.. iPhone. The one model! :)
Your use of the word “claustrophibically” means you don’t understand the usefulness of a smaller screen. Unless you’re in the NBA, phones now have such enormous screens that even standard-size devices are impossible to use one-handed without risking dropping it. They’re ON your hand, not IN it. And they keyboard trick is a useless gimmick. I still have my old 4 for nostalgia, and it’s just perfect. I challenge anyone in this forum to GRASP their phone (doesn’t count unless your fingertips curl around the edge at the last joints) and reach their thumb to an opposite corner. See? You must either rest it on your fingers or use it with two hands. And that’s to say nothing of pocketability, or last thereof. In my jeans the top centimeter pokes above the pocket, as if to say, “Take me!” And I’m not getting a man purse. I’m not watching cinema on my phone. I just want the size Jobs said was just right for the hand. Because it still is.

If the upcoming 4th gen iPad Pro launches before September, it will only have A13X chip, which is not that spectacular compared with the transition from 2nd gen (A10X) to 3rd gen (A12X).

2nd gen suffered from this power legging because it launched 3 months earlier than iPhone X which has A11. If 4th gen has A13X, I will undoubtedly skip it.

I'm looking forward to the iPhone 9 announcement not because I want to get it, but so that people can finally stop calling it the "iPhone SE 2" once Apple announces its official name.

Forbes is saying the “SE2” is the official release name. Who knows?

The Sharp Aquos R2 Compact has a 5.2-inch screen in a chassis the same size as the current iPhone SE.

The chassis is bigger than the SE... and the screen is much taller which would affect one-handed use. Remember... those are the two favorite attributes of the iPhone SE.

It's a valiant effort... but the Sharp Aquos R2 Compact is not an iPhone SE alternative.

I'm afraid there will never be an SE-sized phone ever again. Even budget phones today have giant proportions. So why would any company try to cram top-tier hardware into a tiny chassis anymore? With a tiny battery too?

Some people were excited when Apple introduced the tiny iPhone SE after the bigger 6 and 6 Plus series seemed like the only form-factors to come.

But Apple eventually gave it up. Clearly the iPhone SE wasn't selling in enough numbers to justify keeping it updated alongside future iPhones 7, 8, X, Pro, Max, etc.

Sorry guys... I think the iPhone SE is part of a bygone era... along with headphone jacks, removable RAM and SSD, etc.

I want an updated Apple TV, and I want trailers for all the shows dropping in April (the biggest month since TV+'s launch btw), and I want information about shows coming in May, June, and July.
