So for many years, iPhone users have had to deal with proselytisation attempts from Android fans, who felt that it was absolutely necessary to tell none-Android-users that their choice of phone was completely wrong. And if you told them that you are perfectly happy with your iPhone, you were often told that in reality, you are not and that you are really jealous of Android phones, and that you are only trying to justify your purchase.

Now Apple was stupid enough to release two different-sized phones, and suddenly that behaviour has entered into the Apple community. Suddenly, you have people in these forums who really really have to convince others that they made a big mistake in buying a 6 Plus, because it is definitely too big for everyone. Their happiness depends on other people not liking different things. According to them, someone who claims that they do anything with that phone one-handed is a dirty liar, and people who claim that they are happy with it are either just trying to justify their purchase or will notice soon how wrong they are. Because of course, it's a matter of right or wrong, black or white. There is no chance that different people have different requirements or different usage patterns. It can't be that different people are happy with different phones. Impossible!

Apple, really, you guys couldn't predict that? You should have realized by now that a large number of people have no empathy whatsoever and don't understand that something that doesn't work for them might actually work for someone else. Please discontinue the 6 Plus, recall the sold phones and accept that this experiment has failed. Your customers were not ready for it. Let's go back to all of us having essentially the same phone, so we can go back to conversion attempts by Android's Witnesses again. They were not half as annoying as that "Your 6 Plus sucks, admit it! The power of Jobs compels you!" nonsense.

.

I don't know why people keep saying others are hating on one phone over the other in these forums, attacking one's point of views.

It seems like most people are in agreement here: that choosing the 6 VS 6+ is (in the end) a personal choice, and not one is necessarily better than the other

The bigger question is why does it bother you so much? People are going to whine about some thing and on this board that's a given..... Heck look at me, I'm whining about others whining. Simply take pleasure in the posts and laugh at them either to yourself or in a the thread but beware ........ That might get u spanked and sent off to your room for a time out.

Agree with nearly all of this. But don't think Apple should have NOT given us two phones. Options is a good thing. The issue is the customer base are acting like kids in a playground. It's ridiculous the threads that are popping up, you do question the age of some of these people.

I'm slightly worried about your mental wellbeing if what people think of your mobile phone choice is such a problem for you.

You like it, you buy it, you use it. What else matters? Be happy.

Nothing has changed and its not "apple's fault" for this. Just go back to last year with the color choice and people posted how Gold was such a mistake, yada yada yada.

This behavior has been inherent since day 1. Apple fans are no different the android fans and if you think they are, then you're sadly mistaken. We're all the same - people and we all behave the same way (sometimes badly).

It's not. But do you enjoy it when people keep coming to your door, trying to convince you that their lifestyle is right and yours is wrong? No? Well, what is happening here is the digital equivalent of Jehova's Witnesses knocking on your door.

It was bad enough dealing with Android trolls. Now there are also iPhone 6 trolls who fill the threads with "You're an idiot if you bought a 6 Plus" BS.

Apple messed it up big time for us with the 6 Plus

So for many years, iPhone users have had to deal with proselytisation attempts from Android fans, who felt that it was absolutely necessary to tell none-Android-users that their choice of phone was completely wrong. And if you told them that you are perfectly happy with your iPhone, you were often told that in reality, you are not and that you are really jealous of Android phones, and that you are only trying to justify your purchase.

How about just purchasing the device size that makes you happy and ignoring what negative opinion that anyone else says about it? Apple made the best choice they could have possibly made concerning the iPhone as we now have options.
I have owned 3 different android handsets in the past as well as a android tablet. None of which ran to my satisfaction. Constant freezing, random reboots, running slow/sluggish are just to name of few of the problems that bog down android. I walk into Best Buy one day to purchase a iPod Touch and after realizing that the iPhone was essentially a iPod Touch with a radio built in I decided to buy it instead. It made sense to me because I carried a android handset and a Zune MP3 player around with me all the time. I had just purchased a new car stereo and it refused to read music from my Zune so I decided to purchase a iPod Touch which eventually turned into a iPhone purchase instead. It was one on the best decisions I ever made as my iPhone has been the most stable handset I have ever owned. I have had blackberrys, androids, and even Windows mobile devices and none compare in terms of stability, ease of use and even just plain esthetics.
There was only one thing that bothered me about the iPhone. It was too freakin small for my taste as I was so use to my android handset with its 4.3" display. Apple has finally wised up in terms of offering screen size options. Now I can honestly say that the iPhone is the PERFECT handset because I now have to option to carry around a huge screen if I so desire.

I recently ordered the iPhone 6 Plus for myself (because I desire a man-sized handset) for my 6'2" frame and I got the 6 Minus for my wife as she has smaller hands and felt the Plus was too big for her taste. Both devices are beautiful and its a win-win for Apple and their customer base.
Buy what makes you happy and forget what everyone else says. The stuff that Android lovers say about people who choose to use Apple products I actually find laughable especially since I used strictly Android for 3-4 years so I know first hand how unstable their OS is in comparison to iOS. Just learn to let it roll off your shoulder my friend.

General stereotyping. The 6+ is perfect for me. I could easily take it back and get the 6 but I would lose out on the things I love about the plus.

This shouldn't bother anyone, Apple has given people a choice. Choose and be happy, not whine in a forum on the internets.

Come back and explain how they "messed up" after they release their 2015 Q1 financial results...

This is the mother of all upgrades! My Apple Store still had a line out the door at 7:30pm on release day. That's almost a full 12 hours of non stop sales. That doesn't even happen on Black Friday's.

People trying to convert you to their religion, because yours is the wrong one.

Did you buy a 6+?

You keep mentioning how there are iPhone 6 trolls that are telling the 6+ owners they made a mistake. However you have no mention of the equal about of 6+ owners that are going onto 6 owners about how they're phone isn't the flagship, its the 6C, it was purchased because they couldn't afford the 6+ etc etc.

Frankly the hypocrisy in your posts are astounding and they are very closed minded. You literally start of the thread blaming Android for what is referred to as human nature (as people defend there purchases) then basically do exactly what you are here whining about. Its insane.

Let me guess, you did not read my post, but only the subject.

You entire thesis is wrong and ignorant of the facts. People said the same thing when the 5 was released because the 4s became the entry level iPhone, but none of the "bad" effects you mentioned materialized. People said the same thing when the iPad Mini was introduced and once again those effects never materialized. Here's some more facts for you:

- 4 million preorders in the first 24 hours, doubling the numbers for the 5 when it was released.
- Shipping dates for the 6+ slipping to October and even November within the first 24 hours due to demand for the larger of the two phones.
- UPS loading trucks with nothing but iPhones on Friday to get them out to customers in time, and even offering Saturday delivery for people who missed delivery on Friday.

But your most asinine comment of all is where you say "Please discontinue the 6 Plus, recall the sold phones and accept that this experiment has failed." First of all, how in the hell can you say it failed within 48 hours of launch, ESPECIALLY given the long lines at Apple Stores and other retailers worldwide? If the preorders = 20% of first weekend sales trend holds up, Apple will have sold 20 MILLION iPhone 6/6s units by Monday morning. That's anything but a failure.

If your post is an attempt at sarcasm, it fails miserably.

At the end of the day, the people who bought the 6+ wanted the bigger screen. The people who bought the 6 wanted a screen which was large yet easy to use with one hand.

Now after stating the above, I can guarantee 2 in 10 will interpret that as;

People who bought the 6 couldn't afford the 6+.

Agree, yesterday my Apple Store had a line of people 100+ deep. In fact the mall manager was pissed off at the apple store manager because of the long lines. Name an Android device that causes this much hype. Name any product that causes this much hype. Any? Apple didn't mess up.

On a side note, the mall manager......I think if I was the mall manager I would have been the most excited person in the world knowing my mall is packed with people who likely will be buying other items too. This guy was pissed. Must have an Android Phone. LOL

Apple messed it up big time for us with the 6 Plus

I am convinced this is all just temporary. The two sides will soon come together again in our love for Apple, and our utter disdain for Android. ;) Apple has amazing new products in the pipeline like the new iPads and the Apple Watch that should really ease tensions between the two camps.
