I would love this theoretical product. But it’s a total luxury in my case. I have one studio display already and am waiting on a second. While it doesnt have promotion, the studio display checks all my professional needs. I don’t need fluid motion, I’m a draftsman and render 3D stills for large events. The frame rate is fine for me, more importantly, the 27” 5k screen is the sweet spot for me. A promotion apple display will surely be atleast 2500. The studio display is already expensive.

Just bit the bullet on the tilt-only Studio Display. So tempted by the Pro Display XDR but couldn't justify it. I need to replace my LG5K that has gone pink round the edges. But I've never been less excited about getting new Apple kit – too expensive for what is more or less the same six-year old panel and I don't need speakers. Just need for work, like a massively over-priced screwdriver! I hope at some point to replace with something that gets me excited, like the amazing MBP screen at a 'justifiable for me' cost.

For those in the UK, John Lewis have in stock. At least I get the two year guarantee.

Why would they offer 32" and 30" at the same time? The difference in sizes is minimal.
Because the difference between the $5000 monitor and the $1500 is not just about size. You’re buying the Pro XDR because those high end features matter in your workflow.

For the midrange studio monitors, Apple should absolutely offer more than just a 27”. I love it but it’s a bit small for my taste, and there’s no way I’m buying an XDR.

I don't see a 30" display because it would be too close to the 27" and 32" and the resolution would have to be like 5.5K to maintain Retina.

I am really liking Jason Snell's idea that the 27" 5K MiniLED ProMotion display Ross Young has been talking about for a year (and Ming Chi Kuo first broke a couple of years ago) is going to be a 27" Pro Display XDR and will join the rumored 32" 7K replacement for the existing (6K) Pro Display XDR.

That way it is easy to market segment it against the existing Apple Studio Display because it will look different, cost a heck of a lot more, and work with the existing Pro Display Stand.
