Apple Mistakenly Sending Out OS X Server Replacement Up-to-Date Codes

Just experienced the same issue

The code I received yesterday morning created the response that it was previously used. The code I received mid-day today was for the Server version. Bummer! 🙁

you will be receiving another code in couple hours. and it should be ML. you don't need to do anything (worked this way for me 😱)

That's why I decided that buy would likely be best option. I decided if I have to way the rest of the day $20 is worth it and I will know for sure all our macs will be ellegable without fuss. 3 computers in our case it's a bargain. Still Apple offered the free upgrade which did influence my purchase so I would like them make good. Now that I don't need the code I'd like something else, perhaps an iTunes gift card?

I can't believe I spent all day yesterday worrying about this. It took me under an hour from start to finish to install it via torrent.

You're literally paying $20 for a 4 GB download, not actually for the software.

I still haven't got my first code. I applied right at the start. Second try which got the serial already registers error about an hour later.

if you get that error, apple has recorded you.. i suggest to wait for couple hours. if not by then, just give a call and let them know.

I submitted my form as soon as it came live yesterday.
So far NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No codes AT ALL.
emailed support yesterday and got an email saying it might take 24 hrs and if I had not heard by today to get back in touch. Haven't heard so emailed again. 6 hours ago. NOTHING. Emailed again. NOTHING.
Where are you guys that have got codes?

that Apple is mistakenly sending out codes for the OS X Server components of Mountain Lion rather than Mountain Lion itself.

I think the team that developed "Podcasts" app must have been reassigned to the ML-up-to-date project, and brought their usual level of compatency.
 
Interesting Development Re Up To Date

Folks I just threw the head up and went to buy Mountain Lion as I was giving up on the up to date program delivering before I head off on Saturday for a week. Interestingly having registered the serial of my MBR over 24 hours back I went to the App store and purchased in frustration only to find that on buying it told me that I had ALREADY purchased but I could download for free again. The purchase date is showing some two weeks back in or around the date my MBR was shipped. Hope this helps some or maybe I have just been lucky......... 🙂

After getting a valid code on my 3rd try, I now have ML installed on my 2012 macbook air, it took about 20 minutes or less to install. Before I ran the installer, I made a bootable copy of ML on a USB drive. And yes, ML Server is still available to me. Good luck to all, again, there just has to be a better way to do this the next time around.

And Mr. Cook, send out some kind of statement about this fiasco, it will make us all feel better.

This code stuff has nothing to do with you buying Mountain Lion. The code is only for those that recently purchased a Mac and are trying to get their free upgrade to Mountain Lion. Everyone is able to purchase Mountain Lion for $20 for up to 10 Macs without any problem.

You don't get it.
Our concern is exactly that world problems will be solved before we get our ML upgrade code.
