Apple Music could be coming to Tesla vehicles through a future software update, giving Tesla customers the ability to use Apple Music using the vehicles' built-in system.

At a recent exhibit for Tesla at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, someone on Twitter spotted a Model S vehicle running an unreleased software version that had Apple Music installed. According to the images shared, users will be able to scan a QR code on their phone to log into Apple Music and use the app. Apple Music has been teased to be coming to Tesla vehicles in the past only for it not to happen.

Apple Music integration in Tesla vehicles has been a long-standing request for Tesla vehicle owners. It's not clear when the update with Apple Music integration will roll out, but Not A Tesla App speculates it could as part of Tesla's annual holiday update due for release next month.

Awesome

I really want to buy a Tesla someday

I’m glad that Tesla finally added Apple Music to their cars

I really hope that Tesla adds CarPlay integration to future vehicles as well

Hopefully we are able to transition to electric vehicles at a much faster rate so that climate change can be mitigated as much as possible

Is this a poem?
IMHO just support CarPlay and naturally every app is supported. There is no need to have the app available at the mercy of the manufacturer.

There's more to it than just installing carplay. Apple has extreme guidelines requirements before Tesla is given a license.

Does it not have CarPlay? I just googled it and it seems like not, but that can't be true? I would not buy a car without it today, and absolutely not a car with a Tesla price tag.
Help me understand why CarPlay is so important to have in your car?

Currently you can make calls and hear/reply to text in a Tesla. Music apps are available for a long time, sure not AM but that’s coming as well now most probably. Build in navigation works fine. I haven’t missed CarPlay for a second when driving my car. I was always annoyed with having to plug in my phone first thing when getting into my car (maybe that’s improved with wireless CarPlay but still you’d want your phone to be charging?)

But Mr. Schiller deleted his Twitter account because he wants nothing to do with that vile creature called Elon Musk.

Then again the color green is definitely best color ever so...virtue goes down the drain...

IN any case if you buy a Tesla you can now enjoy APPLE MUSIC!!! 😂😂😂

From my personal experience, I would not buy any car without CarPlay except for a Tesla.
That's because legacy automakers absolutely suck when it comes to Software and user experience. But in my Tesla I have not missed CarPlay (except for Apple Music) one bit.

This is exactly my experience as well, I understand the need/want for CarPlay in every car except in a Tesla.

Maybe I should have framed my question differently, as I do understand the need for CarPlay just not the need for CarPlay in a Tesla 😅

Because it is a simple and easy system that is the same in every car with CarPlay. Sure I can live without it, but why not both so I can choose what to use? I can't believe you can justify not having it to be honest. I mean a lot of cars have their own system and CarPlay. I just think it is a bit onerous at this price point.

Doesn’t most usage of carplay come from Apple Music? I wouldn’t use Apple Maps. I dont need phone call feature, i dont need to read messages (especially in front of passengers). Maybe I will use audio news on Apple News, podcasts and AppleTV, but I wouldnt miss it that much. The only thing I would use regularly would be Apple Music.
