I always wanted to see Apple themed novelty socks from Marks & Spencer, a British food and clothes store - they have had Star Wars, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, the Muppets, and other franchises in the past - but I figured that, since M&S wasn’t a global brand (and AFAIK not at all known in the US), there was no chance. Now I’m not so sure.

They generally come in packs of five, so I’d want pairs with a classic Mac, Finder logo, iPod classic, original iPhone, and the Apple logo (either white or six colours).

There will be a QR code on the back of each bar that links directly to the album on Apple Music and provides a free trial subscription to the service.

A QR code is square. A chocolate tablet is made of squares. A square of chocolate has 4 sides. A QR code has 4 sides. 4/2 is 2. 2+4 is 6. "iTunes" has 6 letters in it. "Ritter" has also 6 letters in it. Coincidence ? Impossible ! 6+6+6 illuminatis confirmed.

This weirdly sums up everything I hate about tech.

Who is old enough to remember when the iTunes store first launched, and they gave away song credits in Pepsi bottles?

They got me, the first songs I got on iTunes were with those credits. And I still "own" those tracks. Now it's a free trial to a forever subscription.

Tech has gotten worse.

TBH: As a german, I think this choice in music is basically commercial crap of the lowest level. Most people outside the german speaking part of Europe have probably no clue who these people are - aside from the Scorpions… and they do not even have an iconic album on the choclate bar.

Apparently, German music history didn't start until 1990.

Scorpions - Crazy World : released in 1990
Cro - RAOP : released in 2012
Helene Fischer – Farbenspiel : released in 2013
Marteria – Zum Glück In Die Zukunft II : released in 2014
Sarah Connor – Muttersprache : released in 2015

Not one German industrial music artist/band such as Einstürzende Neubauten, KMFDM, Rammstein, or Die Krupps. 🙄
No Kraftwerk either.

And you can get the free trial anyway, so what this is, is an advert.

Was? Wieso fehlt DAF (Deutsch amerikanische Freundschaft) mit Alles ist gut. Aber die Hupfdole Fischer ist dabei?

For all the non german native speaker:
¿Qué? ¿Por qué falta DAF (Deutsch amerikanische Freundschaft) con Alles ist gut? ¿Pero la pseudobailarina Fischer sí está?

I really miss the days when apple music was the go to standard for me for good music. I still use it as my standard source of music and I really enjoy apple music country on the road - but this “collaboration” is sickening and I do not refer to the sugar count in every chocolate bar. Yeah a lot of drama but I really hate Helene Fischer.

That’s not german music - non of it.

Only if you let it.
You can easily set up your own media server at home and stream the music you own to your phone.
