I actually wanted to convince my wife listening to Beats 1 occasionally. No chance, whenever we tried, every second or third track was hiphop...I mean, it seems popular in the U.S. and that's fine for me. But being a worldwide radio station Apple should be aware that hiphop is not of that relevance elsewhere.

Try Beats 3 or 4

not sure what you meant but I just listened to all the Radiohead albums the past week by going to their Artist's page. I even have some saved locally on the Mac and iPad using Apple Music.

i meant "exclusive content" or featuring these artists not it being available in the apple music library

I had the privilege of seeing The Stones in concert this summer and it was phenomenal from the first note. I'm excited to hear Keith's new album (his solo material is really underrated IMO, it's better than Jagger's) but I still hope and wish the Stones record one more album together. Bigger Bang was actually quite good, especially if you didn't hold it to the same standard as the "Golden Era" albums (Let it bleed, Exile, anything with Mick Taylor basically). Nothing can live up to the standards of those old albums that have inspired so many fans and musicians alike over the past 40 years.

Beats 1 is diverse in terms of different forms of hip-hop across the world mainly. Other than that it usually Top Pop tracks from around the world... which is all well and good, but they really fail to cater to jazz fans, folkies, blues, etc.; the selection of blues and jazz artists are very limited in the non-beats sections of Apple Music. Tried to listen to Magic Sam's "West Side Soul" album the other day... only 3 of the tracks from the entire album are available... period. Go to Spotify however, a totally different story - full album and a great catalog of his work.
While Apple Music does have exclusive artists like Taylor Swift, along with exclusive music only made for Apple Music, it's really not enough to tip the scales to pay 10 bucks a month for a service that screws up my Album Artwork, has a horrible selection of music to stream, and bloats my current install of iTunes on my Mac. Add in the fact they took away Genius Mixes in iOS 8.4, and that takes the cake for the reason I am annoyed with this current venture by the tech giant.

The update fixed iTunes match. I have 17000 songs matched... no problems. Also, it has nearly the entire iTunes library available to stream. More music than Spotify has, approximately 7 million more tracks. Spotify has a horrible UI anyway, and to have a family plan is VERY expensive. Not to mention, iTunes isn't any worse or better than the previous version.

I strongly doubt that Radiohead or NIN (I don't know much about DCFC) would sell out their fans in such a way. Both bands have battled against corporate lockdown / misuse of their music.

Disappointing to see Richards doesn't have the same level of integrity - it's not like he even needs the money.

Just playing devil's advocate: he may not have the final say, nor care about having it.

Apple Music getting an exclusive of an aging rocker's single called "Trouble." There's irony in them thar hills!

Oh get off your high horse. This is Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones we are talking about. They tossed their "integrity" into the Thames when they released "Dirty Work." :D

Oh I see. Have they released anything new, though? I don't remember seeing anything new from these guys. Must admit, I don't follow them much.

Hmmmm I'm not so sure about that. To each their own obviously but imo Spotify has a much better UI than the apple music app and iTunes is way too confusing and bloated at this point. I have the trial of AM right next to my Spotify app and honestly I've probably used it twice. These 7 million extra songs don't really affect my tastes and I prefer Spotify's UI over AM. Spotify just works for me and always has. With the marrying of Spotify and PS4 recently it's gonna take a little bit more than a few exclusive albums from pop artists I couldn't care less about to get me to abandon the black and green.

Keith should have put his video on "The Walking Dead" series, as well as getting a regular guest spot. He is a real-life example of a zombie. Zombies like Keith have more media hype than bite. Not impressed with him in any way, other than his ability to stay alive after abusing himself over and over.

don't even care slightly. apple is only appealing to hip hop heads and old people. get it together and get some NIN some radiohead or DCFC on there
Not sure if serious... if serious; where is "there"?

So you want some music for younger people and not "old people"? NIN and Radiohead have been going since the 80s - Trent Reznor is 50, hardly a young pup!

Beats 1 is very diverse. Tons of genres. Have you listened to Rocket Hour by Elton John?

I get the feeling that people are only going as far as the main Beats 1 live show, and completely ignoring the other stations. I listen to the Rock station all the time, and there are a huge variety of artists there.

Nine Inch Nails and Death Cab for Cutie. I like NIN but can't tell you who or what DCFC sounds like nor can I name a song of theirs. Their name alone never interested me.

I cannot stand Death Cab for Cutie. The singer's voice is incredibly grating, and all of their songs sound the same.

Frankly, your description applies to almost every band of the past twenty years.

It's a depressing thought.

Perhaps, one day, someone will write something good again. I won't hold my breath.
