The For You feature has been a highlight of Beats music for quite a while, and my favorite feature of the various streaming services. As someone who prefers to listen to albums, it meant I was greeted with a mixture of favorites and new albums and playlists every time I opened the app. It makes it much, much easier to find something to listen to than browsing the Music app.

Unfortunately that feature always seemed to get lost in comparisons to Spotify, which we also subscribe to.

Thanks. If I can wait, I will. I still have my Spotify Premium until September and iTunes Match right around there.

Another huge benefit of Apple Music that I haven't heard mentioned, is if they let you use iTunes credit to pay for it.
I can routinely get $100 for $85. That is a nice saving right there.

Yes, store credit can be used. And any family member can initiate the sub for family.

But you need a credit card on file right? I remember having more than $100 in credit but it woudln't let me sign up to iTunes match anyway.

What would this feature add?
last.fm support maybe? ;)
it scrobbles ehat u listen to and adds it to your last.fm profile where u can see what u listen to the most in different charts etc

i will laugh so hard if its US only starting today and only the Radio part is worldwide for the time being while they sign up more international labels. would explain those "coming soon" banners

Not long now until we find out if Apple Music is exclusive to the U.S. for now. I know Beats 1 will be available in the UK, but will the streaming service? I really hope it is. If we don't, hey, we are still getting iOS 8.4 and Beats 1.

Australia AM is active.

So you're saying people who use streaming services are cheap people who will go illegal route just because they're annoyed? No wonder the majority of people subscribed to Spotify are on free service.

No, I am saying if different services offer different exclusives based upon popular artists (Godsmack on Spotify, Metallica on Pandora, or Pantera on Apple Music), then those people may get frustrated and just download it on torrents to get the "exclusive". Especially if those streaming companies ever decide to offer exclusive music on paid tiers only.

I hope "it's going to take you time to learn it" isn't going to be a signature line attributed to new Apple products.

I can forgive the Watch for being less intuitive than an iPad. With the original Mac there were manuals that included instructions on how to "drag and drop" so customers do have to learn new products.

However, one thing I thought about the Apple Music demo was how complicated the UI looked. Could be overthinking things, though, and maybe I'll be eating my words once I get my hands on it :)

And then you download it on torrents and it gets uploaded to Apple Music so you can stream it. There, no more exclusives (like people haven't done this before...)

Hi guys, does anyone of you know if there will be an option to setup Family Sharing just for the Apple Music Family plan? I want to share the paid service with a couple of family members but i don´t want to pay for their apps and other stuff... And i don´t have family sharing set up yet :)

This morning (iOS 8.3) I opened iTunes Radio and the previous stations based on some artists were gone. Just a few Apple suggested stations to choose from. Anyway I did a create station via genre but now I don't see any way to tune it for Hits/Variety/Discovery

I'm interested to see how they blend existing iTunes purchases and playlists etc with Apple Music. It seems to me that bolting on Apple Music to the existing iTunes model is going to be confusing. The most successful platforms are ones that start from scratch with something new, not ones that try to combine a new method with an old one. Apple are trying to catch up with the competition while still hanging on to the past, and I'm not sure that's going to work. Once you start paying for Apple Music, what's the point in even having the concept of your old purchases, as you are getting them with the new service. You either embrace streaming or you don't.

I think you can choose what you want to share. It wouldn't make sense not to.

Those of us on the current 8.4 public beta. How do we sign up for the trail period on launch? I can't see anywhere to fire up the welcome/sign up screen.
