Apple Music no longer limited to Apple products for it is offered on android and now PS5...

Apple is now expanding the reach of its services... You can join FaceTime calls on android but not initiate/start one... You can subscribe to and use Apple Music without needing to own an Apple device...

Is Apple thinking of dropping/leaving the hardware business in favor of services?

Walking aimlessly across the UCA rebuilding the roads, connecting more strands, and expanding the Chiral Network in Death Stranding while listening to 80's Radio with Huey Lewis would be awesome. Just need to watch out for the MULEs.

Literally just had "ours" delivered an hour ago. It's a Christmas present for my son and I. He doesn't know he's getting it.

Sony sent me an email with a special event/online sale. You had to have a PS Plus account though to order.
Finally got mine from the last Walmart drop. Subscribed to a few restock Twitter accounts to get alerted. Walmart, if you can manage to get your order in between the bots, did a great job. Actually delivered it 5 days early!

I got mine from Walmart last January. Lucked out on the third wave of the day. Seems about the only online place where you can beat the bots, without being part of some paid membership drop.

The unfortunate part with all these 3rd party app access, no Dolby Atmos and/or Lossless support. I'm addicted to hearing Atmos now.
Won't be an issue when Apple Music comes to Xbox Series X|S.

Regardless, it's about time. No reason for me to use free Spotify on consoles anymore. Can finally use my Apple Music subscription on everything.

I envy you. I tried and tried to hear the Spatial Audio on Apple Music with my AirPods Pro and I just don’t hear it. I mean, I notice the difference, but it just doesn’t seem 3D. Then again, I don’t really hear “3D” with my Pulse headset in PS5 games, so I’m beginning to think I’m just unable to hear it.

It really depends on who did the mixing. I suggest "Don't Start Now" - Dua Lipa. If that doesn't sound "3D" to you, then nothing will.

Apple has got me by the ***** in their ecosystem, to where there’s no doubt my next phone will be an iPhone, and my next computer will be a Mac. But I do game on PC, and I have a PS5. Being able to access Music like this article describes, or occasionally AirPlay to a random tv, is just making me not feel so terrible about being trapped in an ecosystem. o_O

Still waiting for a Music Windows app. And someone else posted that these third party apps don’t support lossless or Atmos. Maybe someday, but a big lag from their native counterparts. We still need to own Apple hardware for the latest software.

Anyone know if you can access Podcasts? That's the nice thing about Spotify---it's all one app.

But do you really listen to music on your PS5? I guess it depends on your speaker situation. I have a typical sound bar and woofer from Samsung. Not bad, but I have better ways to listen to music and I assume most people do as well. Now, for Podcasts it would be fine.

You can do that already, but you need an Apple TV 4K (2021 model), and a TV with ARC support.
Ooooo didn’t know that but not sure I want another 4K ATV. I was sort of hoping I could ditch the ATV for this.

Also run these things through a Hue Sync Play box too so chances of everything playing nice is low
