Everyone worried about Musish stealing your Apple ID, you do realize this is an open source project right? Meaning that hundreds if not throussauds of people can look at and inspect the code. If there was ever any risk of shady behavior someone would find it and start making a fuss about it. That’s the wonders of having open source software. There is never a piece of code that is hidden from the public.
Important note! Unfortunately, you're absolutely right!Theoretically yes, but the only if people actually checked the software in depth. Regardless of it being open source, source code can contain malware that is hard to detect even upon code review. Colourama and other python libraries had malware issues last year and the malicious Javascript libraries found in npm back in 2017 also comes to mind. I'm not saying Musish is malicious or anything, but you shouldn't blindly trust open source software.
So I’m going to enter my iTunes Apple ID and password on a third party website so I can listen to my music? NOT!
I'm counting down the days until Apple shuts this down.
Exactly what my first thought was.Might be a good idea but I'm not sure I would trust my Apple ID to third party software.

This is fantastic!
Okay enough we know already. I trust my login. That is the problem with this form someone comes out with a nice web player and all we have are people complain about security concerns. If you are not going to use it don't bother posting then.I won’t use any web player unless it’s from Apple directly over security/privacy concerns.
And you’re free to use it. Here’s another problem with this *forum, someone can’t post an opinion without someone else who disagrees with them telling them not to post at all.Okay enough we know already. I trust my login. I think the frustration comes from someone providing a solution to help the community and they get bashed by a group of people who have no intention of using it. Small independent developers used to be inspired by our forums, but now I’m surprised they even bother. And you’re free to use it. Im trying to help the community too, I’m just saying we should weigh the risk of giving your credentials on a third party website. Odds are this guy has good intentions and wouldn’t do anything wrong, but I can’t take that risk. Hopefully this inspires apple to release a web player of their own.I think the frustration comes from someone providing a solution to help the community and they get bashed by a group of people who have no intention of using it.
