I can’t be the only one reading this thread, that lives outside the US and doesn’t follow sports, like:

I don't think we will see Apple offering the NFL ticket. I think the music aspect will be good pr for Apple.

You might want to recheck your facts.

While it's been trending down for the past decade, (TV) viewership did not decline every year.

Take 2022. It was higher than 2021. 2020 was higher than 2019. And 2015 was higher than 2014 which was higher than 2013.

If you look at streaming, viewership has increased each year since 2012.

It was easy to top the weekend’s performance

Seinfeld used to get 26 million viewers each week. Now the top show gets 10-15 million viewers. TV viewing habits have changed. People stream or DVR shows to watch later. 100 million for a game is still a great number, given the new tv landscape.

House of the dragon is pulling 30 million viewers a week though and it’s not even the highest one.

I hope Apple encourage more ‘wardrobe malfunctions’ during the show – elements of the US can seem very conservative and shocked by normal human stuff.
