Well that's typical Range Rovers. I bought a 4.6 HSE back in the day from Lookers (bastards they are). Bloody awful thing. Nothing but trouble. If you hit the brakes too hard the headlights would go out! (ABS caused the electrics to brown out)

I found buying mass produced mid range garbage with average features is what you need if you want a reliable car. Nothing fancy.
Haha! The problem is, the mass produced midrange garbage we have in the states is not nearly as cool as the midrange garbage you have over there.

Not that I want to knock Tesla as I own one and it’s a truly fantastic car, but the audio is pretty average. The source quality lets it down too, not having a direct wired connection and Spotify bitrate being hobbled.

Looking forward to trying the new Lotus EV with KEF speakers.

You have to try it with Tidal and offline downloading to really appreciate it.. Those other factors don't have anything to do with the sound system itself.

Agree, as I think Tidal downloaded HiFi sounds fantastic on my Model S Refresh. Think it is an awesome sound system and probably the best I have experienced in the cars I have owned over the years.

That is funny when you can’t wait for an update with a feature you want and you keep checking. Then it suddenly appears when you least expect it! 🤣

Excited for Apple Music, hope the UI is good for it and the quality is as good or better than Tidal HiFI.
have you received upset yet? Nothing here yet in UK
I had to get rid of my Tesla because of quality issues, but I truly miss the infotainment system. I have a Genesis GV60 now and even though CarPlay is great, I still feel the Tesla system is much better. Especially when you look at the entire eco system including how good their app is.

Ah. I was looking at the GV60 but the Lead times were over a year. Was your Tesla China built? The China built ones are great. Love having Netflix in the car, great escape from home when I need a break along with Supercharger.

What Tesla did you have? How’s the drive compare to GV60?

I've been waiting for this for a long time... but now you have to pay for Premium Connectivity!? Only reason I would pay for PC is for the satellite maps with live traffic and CarPlay, but I refuse to. I could do all that with CarPlay on my other cars and don't have to pay for a thing.

Not saying I need CarPlay in the Tesla, but the Tesla UI lacks immensely compared to other UIs.

I have a Model 3 Long Range. Great car, trash UI. Everyone talks about "high end" audio system compared to a luxury car. I have a Porsche and Lexus as well, and the Tesla is trash, even compared the the BMWs I had before. Having to use Bluetooth in the Tesla makes it sound even more trash. And I'm streaming Lossless and Atmos in CarPlay.

I can't wait to get rid of this Tesla and go with a Porsche EV or something comparable. I'll take a loss in efficiency for a definitively more luxury car with better material quality and better UI.

Says the person who bought the entry level model. What Porsche EV competes with a Model 3? I’ll wait..

Didn’t offend me. I will say my previous car was a Range Rover Velar and it rattled more than my Tesla, and the turbo died after 6 months and had to be replaced. I exclusively bought European cars prior to this and I became very used to having loaner vehicles while they were in the shop. My friends Volvo S60 is in the shop literally once a month continuing the trend. And these were all brand new vehicles. My Tesla has had zero issues in 2.5 years, and zero maintenance costs…so I’m pretty content. I still think I’ll be enamored by the Macan EV when it comes out though, and likely switch back.

Oddly enough I had a Velar bought back under the lemon law for an undefeatable rattle. I do miss that interior every day though.

Early reports are saying the implementation is...ok. It plays songs but it looks like there are delays in between songs. Seems like maybe no pre-caching. No downloading either. Minimum viable product.

I like it so far, but it doesn’t seem to want to play my songs that I uploaded in Apple Music. They all show and play fine in the Apple Music web player so I’m not sure what the issue is. Hopefully it’s something that can be addressed on the server side.

Software update has finally come through and installing now. This is the one feature I have wanted since getting a tesla

it seems they've taken the lazy way out and used web services for this similar to zoom. this means lossless isn't an option.
with the amazing speakers and hardware in their premium audio option in their vehicles, this doesn't live up to what it could've been, and definitely doesn't take years to develop integration based on web service.
It’s amazing how many people don’t know what they are talking about and instead of asking what options would be available to stream the music they jump right into making the wrong assumption and then running with it.

it's amazing how you assume your assumptions.

Just installed an update and instead of getting Apple Music, looks like I got moved on to the FSD Beta track. Oh well, no Apple Music for me for a while.
