Yeah I’m a hardcore Tidal user and Qobuz. Lossy is just tough to listen to which I’m glad Apple is upgrading their platform. Listen on good equipment the difference is night and day.
So you are hoping that Sony updates the firmware?I’d LOVE to think Apple’s getting ready to support LDAC! Unfortunately I expect them to release their own in house solution. It’ll be great for people who own AirPod products, but I don’t.
I’m still hoping against all odds that my Sony WH1000XM4s will somehow be supported by Apple’s new tier.
That’s tier, silly autocorrect gotchaVery much looking forward to a higher quality audio tear. I wonder what kind of price difference (if any) it will be for Apple One subscribers?…
If you have nothing that can reproduce audio accurately that would be true, but if you did, then you wouldn't be thinking lossless is meh.Lossless is meh
I am afraid there is no chance in hell.Man that would be amazing. I am a Roon user here. Yeah that would be awesome if they can integrate with the software.
My old ears won’t be able to tell the difference just like my old eyes can’t see a difference between iPhone 7 and iPhone 12 Pro Max!
If they set a standard for “lossless” digital audio at 24-bit/48 kHz, as a previous leak suggests, I’d say they have the right to use that language. Especially if they’ve brought the major labels on board.Apple’s pretentiousness gets so old sometimes. “Music is about to change forever” because they’re adding lossless to their music streaming service.
I know, it’s so hard, I can barely say it. “Siri, like this song!” And she/he does fantastic!
He is a little puke. I can’t stand him.Puke Miani is going to have 100% score on Apple Track if he gets this right
I’m hoping that either Apple releases an upgraded version of AAC capable of supporting HiRes and Dolby Atmos, and that Sony updates the firmware to support this.So you are hoping that Sony updates the firmware?
How would spatial audio work on music recorded in stereo?Spatial audio sounds great since you can actually hear a difference whereas Apple is likely keenly aware than next to no one can hear the difference between a good MP3 rip and a CD, which is why Napster and iPod happened to begin with!
