I’d LOVE to think Apple’s getting ready to support LDAC! Unfortunately I expect them to release their own in house solution. It’ll be great for people who own AirPod products, but I don’t.

I’m still hoping against all odds that my Sony WH1000XM4s will somehow be supported by Apple’s new tier.
So you are hoping that Sony updates the firmware?

I can't wait to spend another $600 for a couple of Homepods capable of the new spatial sound broadcast only to have Apple discontinue the product in a few years. (Snarky and cynical; yeah)

Real 3D audio?? I've been waiting for this for years!!
About frigging time!

For those how say that playing songs over bluetooth won't make a difference in audio quality...

Not true.

I own a pair of AirPods Max, I tried Tidal for one day and I was able to notice a little improvement in quality in 'Master' songs, compared to Apple Music. Not in every song, not a huge difference, but slightly audible. I couldn't really explain, but the instruments seem more present, clear, not (well...) compressed.

So, of course I'm super excited with Apple Music's new features.

I really hope the announcement has nothing to do with “spatial audio” which is a silly gimmick for music. No different than the dumb 3D trend for movies. Remember 3D TVs a few years ago? LOL. That gimmick fizzled out real quick.

Apple’s pretentiousness gets so old sometimes. “Music is about to change forever” because they’re adding lossless to their music streaming service.
If they set a standard for “lossless” digital audio at 24-bit/48 kHz, as a previous leak suggests, I’d say they have the right to use that language. Especially if they’ve brought the major labels on board.

I know, it’s so hard, I can barely say it. “Siri, like this song!” And she/he does fantastic!

I barely use Siri. Sometimes I just forget she/it is there. I guess it's habitual. Also, why would I interrupt the song I'm listening to just to like said song. Now if Siri can do it without actually turning the song down, than I might be convinced.

I’m hoping that either Apple releases an upgraded version of AAC capable of supporting HiRes and Dolby Atmos, and that Sony updates the firmware to support this.

Either that or Apple supporting LDAC.

Can’t wait. I love Apple’s relently push for better and better.

But please, bring along a patch for the AirPod Max too. Things go dead just sitting on your desk. And either shoot Music for the Mac or assign a team who can make it work properly—it’s poorly designed and beyond buggy.

Im a bit old skool and just purchase what songs i want on Itunes, but if Hifi audio finally comes to Apple Music, i will seriously consider subscribing and then streaming music to my various devices.

If you have nothing that can reproduce audio accurately that would be true, but if you did, then you wouldn't be thinking lossless is meh.

I do own audiophile equipment, but I don't care about it much anymore. The difference between high bit rate mp3 and lossless is at best meh. I'll revise what I said: Lossless is somewhere between meh and useless.

Can you not tell me what my opinions would or wouldn't be under scenarios that you assume? You know nothing about me or what I own. It's pathetic.
