I just signed up. I have Oregonian ($80ish/yr), Register Guard ($80ish/yr), and WAPO ($100/yr). With Apple News I get the Atlantic, Oregonian, and some other decent newspapers. I don’t have to deal with moving text as ads are loading and horrible sign in issues (Oregonian). I lose Register Guard but their interface is really bad. I much prefer Apple News. I like the puzzles (where has Sudoku been my whole life?) and looking forward to the recipes.

given the absolute dross click bait I wasnt aware any of it was curated in apple news.
I would like to block anything 'surrounded' by single quotes. they are all **** fake/crap quotes esp for sports. and anything with 'little known' or 'rare' in it. such hard work esp with all the adverts despite paying for it

I agree that AN provides a better experience than many newspaper and magazine sites. Some are so awful that it's like reading a print page through a mail slot because the top and bottom thirds of the page are consumed by banner ads. You get like five lines of text max.
