Apple News Loses CNN

Does CNN still provide news?

They had only one interesting program in the last 20 years, but the host hung himself. What a pity.

It was probably the most blocked channel in Apple News. They were too embarrassed to ask Apple for money.

I blocked CNN a while back anyway, so now there will be fewer black boxes on the home page.

Apple News does such a garbage job of blocking, btw. Instead of stories from the blocked publication just being omitted, it still displays dumb greyed-out placeholder in the stream.

Disappointing to hear. Not sure if CNN will be back in the future. Also would like to see News+ availability expand. Not worth subscribing to News+ alone.

I blocked CNN a long time ago, so the only thing I'll be missing are the gray boxes notifying me that "You blocked this channel". CNN isn't a news channel, it's a propaganda outlet.

What's CNN's accuracy and bias score? It sounds like you rely on this rating rather than thinking for yourself. I'm entitled to read and trust whatever news I want, just as you are. I didn't say I agree with everything ZH publishes. That's because I do think for myself.

CNN and Fox are similar than you think. Same thing but different target groups. And don’t trust news sources that are more focused on entertainment than delivering information.

Just looking at the current homepage of each website, Fox looks more sensationalistic than CNN. MS NOW (MSNBC) may be more sensationalistic than FOX.

Lol there's no way in HELL I'm paying for CNN's written articles. I miss the CNN of yore, but they're trippin' if they think people are going to pay this much for their content.

And nothing of value was lost... We canceled cable TV eight years ago to defund CNN, Fox News, Morning Joe... all of them.

I did that, too, in 2008-ish. My TiVo at the time took care of everything I needed before that, anyway. After I canceled it all, I bought the seasons of what few things I wanted from iTunes. My TiVo era plus post-TiVo era regained countless hours of my life.

I did miss Jeopardy, tho.
