you misspelled corporate mediaCNN is garbage
Is that the case? I haven't used it for a long time. Even when I was given it for free with Apple purchases.More ads on Apple News than news today.
That's why podcasters and substack are so successful these days.GET RID of CNN, WaPo, WSJ, NBC, ABC, et al and make Apple News a force for good in the culture by giving a platform to emerging independent journalists.
No loss there. CNN hasn’t been useful in years, but I suspect this is mostly about the division of Warner Brothers Discovery into two companies, with the part that has HBOMax being the more useful one (and probably the one Apple is still contracted with).
American multinational news company CNN has abruptly pulled its content from Apple News, Semafor reports.

CNN quietly removed its stories from Apple News over the weekend and there is no longer a feed from the network to subscribe to in the app. This effectively ends its distribution agreement with Apple while the two sides negotiate new terms. Discussions are apparently ongoing and CNN's content could return if a new deal is reached.
CNN recently launched a paid subscription service and began placing more of its reporting behind a paywall. The network now offers a $29.99-per-year articles-only tier and a $69.99-per-year "All Access" plan that combines written stories with its streaming service.
Major news firms including People and Condé Nast brands have leaned into Apple News, but other media companies have been cautious about adopting the platform since its debut. CNN was present from the launch of the app in 2015.

Nailed it. Every time I see "subscribers only" on their site I just say fu under my breath.Lol there's no way in HELL I'm paying for CNN's written articles. I miss the CNN of yore, but they're trippin' if they think people are going to pay this much for their content.
What does Apple News even exist?
It’s not a high quality product. It ends up recommending practically every article it has. Its ads are even worse than the outbrain network and that’s saying something.
Just information. Plain, boring information so that everyone can form an opinion based on the facts. The problem with the media is their business model. Their business model is entertainment. It's not about providing facts and information. Click bait headlines, they dramatize, choose what to show, sensationalize, and try to create drama and division. Some do it more, some less. The less, the better.I wonder .. what news service to folks actually "like"?
I feel like we could swap in basically any name here in place of "CNN" and the replies would be the same.
(worth thinking about actually)
CNN and Fox are similar than you think. Same thing but different target groups. And don’t trust news sources that are more focused on entertainment than delivering information.I can't believe the strong feelings against CNN. I check it daily, and trust its reporting. How many of these same people give some trust to FoxNews? 😝
As for Apple News, I never quite trusted it to be a full source. Something about its design doesn't resonate with me.
