Apple News is a great value. For the cost of one subscription, you get access to dozens of newspaper subscriptions and hundreds of magazine subscriptions.

It's funny how the article states that CNN "abruptly pulled" content only to later mention "while the two sides negotiate new terms"... funny... Not exactly clickbait, I suppose, but something pretty close. :)

Honestly, like others, I can't imagine actually paying for CNN. I don't pay for news at all, at this point, but if I did the only thing worth paying for, imho, is Ground News.

They should be taken off the internet, no? After all, they are promoting dangerous conspiracy theories, and conspiracy theories have never come true before. They are also denigrating the left, which is a grave sin. What should we do about this?

Nobody is suggesting anything.
I am a freedom and free speech person, for the record.

Why is everybody getting upset simply from a link to a site that tries to objectively analyze bias in sources?

Please post the same about any other sources!

You did exactly what Kr0019 said you did. You're free to post a specious analysis of any news source you like, but it still comes off as haughty.

It is not specious analysis.

Plug in any other sources on that site.

You guys are conflating that website with “me”, which is totally inappropriate.

I still check cnn for news.

Maybe we should just "lose" Apple News?
I wish Apple would go back to allowing us to add our own feeds and when blocking an Apple News feed, make it where we don't see a ghosted reminder the feed was blocked, which takes up unnecessary space. If Apple made those changes, I would consider using it again. As it is, I use RSS readers to view what I want without all the garbage.

Imagine working for CNN and gathering information for books that would have been timely new information, then using the network to have each anchor pimp your book like its QVC.

Apple still hasn’t figured out how to make Apple News available in ‘non-English’ countries. So far only people in Australia, Canada, UK and North America are allowed to use the app.

While many are going on about CNN no longer offering news of interest, something can be said about the relevance of Apple News+ entirely as a paid subscription to access news that aren't really worth the price.
But of course - AN itself is yet another completely useless offering from Apple, with content that doesn't really match full magazines, but rather a select few articles - moreover, the last thing one should want these days is news "curated" by unknown individuals.

What's CNN's accuracy and bias score? It sounds like you rely on this rating rather than thinking for yourself. I'm entitled to read and trust whatever news I want, just as you are. I didn't say I agree with everything ZH publishes. That's because I do think for myself.
ZH is probably the most reliable outlet these days. A close facts-reporting second is Epoch Times, though their Falun Gong push is really annoying.

American multinational news company CNN has abruptly pulled its content from Apple News, Semafor reports.

apple-news-banner.png

CNN quietly removed its stories from Apple News over the weekend and there is no longer a feed from the network to subscribe to in the app. This effectively ends its distribution agreement with Apple while the two sides negotiate new terms. Discussions are apparently ongoing and CNN's content could return if a new deal is reached.

CNN recently launched a paid subscription service and began placing more of its reporting behind a paywall. The network now offers a $29.99-per-year articles-only tier and a $69.99-per-year "All Access" plan that combines written stories with its streaming service.

Major news firms including People and Condé Nast brands have leaned into Apple News, but other media companies have been cautious about adopting the platform since its debut. CNN was present from the launch of the app in 2015.

I’m sorry, is this considered a loss?
