I was offered the three months free then when I signed up apple charged my Apple Card for $9.99.
I was offered it too. Very cheeky for apple to hope people sign up, like you did.
It shouldn’t offer the trial for non-eligible customers!

Me, too. I’ll be calling them tomorrow. It should have told me that I wasn’t eligible.I was offered the three months free then when I signed up apple charged my Apple Card for $9.99.
It does says “eligible customers only” thoughIt doesn’t say “first-time subscribers” in the pop-up on Apple News. If you already had a trial, it will charge you for a month.
grr..this happened to me too. Is there an easy way to reverse it? SLEAZY apple...I was offered the three months free then when I signed up apple charged my Apple Card for $9.99.
Why would they offer it to someone who isn’t eligible? Why would they not say your ineligible when you accept the offer? When they offer it to you, you can assume you’re eligible. It‘s possible they would offer another trial to entice you. It‘s not like they don’t know. They give no explanation of eligibility. It does says “eligible customers only” though
Huh? Apple News+ is a service.I’d like to delete Apple News+ from my M1 mini but can’t.
I need the SSD space.
Is it that hard for you to grasp the concept that what News+ offers for a fee is available free already? And those parts like magazine that aren’t available for free aren’t anything people are interested in enough to pay money for, hence why Apple has to give this service away as well? What problem are you trying to solve?
Is it really that hard to grasp the concept of someone wanting to read to learn something new or entertain themselves?
You can choose to decline the year of ATV+, that's what I did. Then the message goes away. They could offer a free year and I'm not biting. I still see the one year of ATV+ for when I bought my iPad Pro and I'm not doing that either. I wish this subscription craze would end.
If the infinitesimal amount of space that app occupies is a problem, you have a much larger problem.I’d like to delete Apple News+ from my M1 mini but can’t.
I need the SSD space.
What problem is Apple News+ trying to solve?
Who pays for news in 2020?
Everybody, regardless if they know it or not.Who pays for news in 2020?
You don't want to use News, but yet you open the app. I'm missing something here. I couldn't even tell you what the interface looks like now, I don't use it and haven't launched it in ages.It has really, really, really been pissing me off how much Apple is shoving this and Apple Music in my face practically everytime I open the News and Music apps on my iPad or iPhone.
I havn't bought a physical newspaper or magazine for years. Most magazines in the UK are 60% adverts..
I'm sure 9 quid is a good deal compared to buying physical, but its of no value to me..
First-time subscribers to Apple News+ can receive an extended three-month free trial of the service from today through Monday in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the UK, the four countries where News+ is currently available.
