Yes, this is MY experience. Why would I care what others have experienced and how much money it cost them? 25+ Apple products costing tens of thousands of dollars doesn’t rate in your book? Whatever dude. Apple doesn’t offer AC+ for your benefit. It’s for more profit for them. You should know that everything they do is incentivized by profit.

You think I don't know that AppleCare+ isn't profit for Apple? It's insurance for me. I pay for it so that I don't have to care if there's a problem. If there's no problem, then yay! If there's a problem, whatevs. That's why people buy warranties. What about this is so difficult? If you don't want to do it, then don't. Why your opinion and experiences have to invalidate those of others is the part about all of this that has me confused.

I’m sorry that my ‘good fortune’ seems to bother you, or rather I’m the rule rather than the exception since most Apple products won’t need AC+.

It doesn't bother me that you're lucky. Nor that you prefer not to buy warranty. You'll either be fine with that or you won't. What bothers me is that, solely based on your own experiences, you are saying that something is or isn't necessary rather than stipulating that it was or wasn't necessary FOR YOU. Think about other people, man.

I guess this is just you having to justify your purchasing of AC+. You really don’t need to.

I'm not. I'm trying to get you to realize that your opinion is not the end-all/be-all. You write like it is.

It’s a personal choice. Whether you choose hand more money to Apple is your business.

Thank you.

I'm trying to get you to realize that your opinion is not the end-all/be-all.
My ‘opinion’ as you put it, is not just my own personal thoughts. It’s based on math and probability. The probability that you will experience a hardware problem is quite low which is why Apple offers AC+ and gives them more income. Not getting AC+, you are betting with the percentages that you will not have a problem and taking on minimal risk. Getting AC+, you are betting against the percentages to cover your ass, just in case. Personal preference. The math is always in Apple’s favor, just like a casino. By not ever buying AC+ ever, I never subsidized others’ claims. I’d rather pay for my own problems and not the problems of others.
