Thanks again must have missed the UK release.

Was trying it all afternoon and initially no joy. Made sure I followed all the pre-migration steps and could not understand why it didn't't show me an option to migrate.

Eventually called Support and the guy was brilliant. Turns out he learned something new too. In short if you have TestFlight installed, you need to makes sure you either all TestFlight apps. As soon as I downloaded Teslfight, exited any app I was testing, the option showed up. (Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but just iim case it helps anyone else out)

Can't believe that after all these year as a @.mac customer, I now have one Apple Account!

To be fair, that's one of the conditions listed in the support document.
  • You can’t migrate purchases if your secondary Apple Account is used with TestFlight for testing beta versions of apps from a developer. Open TestFlight and select Stop Testing for each active and inactive app to remove it from your account.

still no luck on my end, though... Yesterday, I tried once again after confirming that my primary AM account only has the U2 album, which I have kept hidden. still see the error message.
I’m currently speaking with chat support. The service advisor informed me that “[t]he account is blocked from migrating purchases. Reason: iTunes/iCloud account is a Blind account.” I’m now being transferred to the Senior Advisor Team for further assistance.

==========
Update: Still no success. I spoke with an Apple Senior Advisor over the phone and shared my screen to walk through the migration process step by step. After asking me to wait for a while, the advisor eventually said it couldn’t be done and repeated the same explanation.

They claimed that migration was not possible because I had previously subscribed to Apple Music using the primary account. However, I truly believe that the only thing ever tied to that account was the free U2 album. I had been successfully using Apple Music through my purchase account for a long time before without issue.

When I brought up that other users in this forum had faced the same issue and were able to resolve it through Apple Support, the advisor simply repeated that it wasn’t possible.

Very disappointing as I was under the impression that music library data is deleted after 90 days of being unsubscribed to Apple Music...

I'm just super happy that my 90 days of having the wrong family purchase sharing account due to trying to migrate is OVER. I've reverted and back to where I started, and I will simply pretend that this migration doesn't even exist, because to me it doesn't. Button isn't even visible anymore.

As far as I’m aware, no one who ran into this specific problem here was able to resolve it through Apple Support.

I thought I saw some users who had the same issue, initially failed, but later resolved it after retrying or getting help from Apple Support—is that not the case?

I tried it when it first came out and it didn't work. Then I recently tried again when there seemed to be an update and it worked perfectly. I never went through support though.

What about your primary account? Did yours also have the free U2 album from Apple?

Initially, yes. I did delete all the songs soon after it was arbitrarily installed in my Apple Music though. It was a long time ago.

I assume that you *hid* the album, not deleted since AM does not provide user with the capability of deleting albums, which I have done thus far with the U2 album.
