Do we still have opportunity to add gift cards at check out with saved preorder? Think so since on screen with shipping directions.
Yes you can. Up to four gift cards, or add them to your Apple ID Balance if you have more. If you add the gift cards to your Apple ID, make sure it is the same ID that you use on the Apple Store site/app.

For me, I have two Apple IDs. One @me account for Apple Store, and a gmail account for Itunes and media purchases. I have to sign out of iTunes media/purchases on my iPhone, then sign in with my @me account when redeeming a gift card.

This is great! I'm all set for my future 512GB Deep Purple Pro Max! All I have to do now on Friday is wake up, open the Store app, place the order, then go back to sleep! And by paying full price on order, the 3% cash back with  Pay will cover half of the sales tax.

ok this is a good note, see my biggest thing is I wont have an apple device until I get my iPhone so I don't want to miss a payment just in case there is a delay in shipping
Ok so i just went ahead and did it and was approved for the Apple Card and I can access the Apple Card online and make payments just in case there is a delay in my preorder.

Im set for the morning with a iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB Space Black

Also my case for it from Amazon will be here today

I would like to do this, but I have concerns with the trade in program. I traded in a perfectly good conditioned iPad several months ago when I bought a new iPad through the Apple app. Several weeks later, apples “partner” came back and said that instead of giving me 300 or so dollars for my tablet (what was quoted when I made the purchase/trade in online) they were giving me 40. The rationale was complete bogus. The only recourse I had was to accept it at the reduced amount - and the remainder would be charged to my installment plan or they’d send me back the iPad and the full balance (including the 40$) would be billed to my monthly installment for the new iPad which I had bought / traded it in for. Bait and switch much? Is there a way to preorder, w a trade in, and avoid this? Ie bring the phone to be traded to the store and still have an order placed online? I can’t get to apples store at 9am on a Friday. I work.
You can preorder it, pay full price or installments on Apple Card then when the iPhone arrives take it to the Apple Store for a return, trade the old in phone in. It is a mess but they can then “return” your new iPhone 14 and resell it to you applying the trade in value to the new purchase. You are just buying the same iPhone that came in the mail. Plus doing it in store the sales team can look at the iPhone and tell you right away if there is an issue with your trade in. Often there isn’t.
It’s a messy process but it’s possible. Best of luck.

Oh ok thanks, i was mainly looking for those who used the Apple Card monthly payments, but thanks for this note that they do charge something when it is ordered
I believe if you use the Apple Card, they charge the whole thing when it ships but it's flagged deferred interest, so as long as you pay the whole balance in the term, you don't pay interest. But you have to watch the terms. If it's like most, they most likely won't apply a payment to the deferred balance until you pay the minimum payment for other purchases first

Hopefully someone can help me.

Trying to "prepare" on my iPhone

I have a 13 Pro Max with TMOBILE with MAGENTA MAX 55+

When I try and do this, I can't "continue". I'm trying to replace the 13 Pro Max with a 14 Pro Max with the $1,000 credit through T-Mobile.

What am I doing wrong? I can't "Continue". When I select Apples $720, it lets me Continue through.

I have one payment left on iPhone upgrade program and it’s telling me that to upgrade I have to send in my old phone which I want to keep for another family member.

Shouldn’t there be an option to simply pay off the current phone and keep it while using the existing upgrade program for the credit details for the new phone?
Have to call Citizens or whatever bank is doing the financing. This is why I hate iUP. I just use Verizon financing and just get the phone from Apple. I can just go on VZW site and click/tap a few things, and my installments are paid off.

Just remember: that $1,000 is paid in the form of a $27.78 bill credit for 36 months
If it's like VZW, part will be instant depending on which device, and the rest are installment credits. Like last year for 12PM it was $800 instant and the rest installments.

I still have a single payment left with Verizon. Will I be able to trade my 12 pro in early and make the payment ? I checked with Verizon support who were not helpful. Any experience in similar situations would be appreciated.
Just go online, and you can pay it off. I don't know if you can do it when you order. It might only let you do a trade in, which would be a waste with only one payment left

Readied the order for a purple pro max. Just waiting to hit the go button. One thing that pissed me off from Verizon was the 30 upgrade fee, which I don’t remember paying in the past.

I never got that. Is that only if you don't use carrier financing?

That exactly the reason I chose the connect to a carrier later, not to mention I also have to upgrade my Verizon plan

I hear you, but with the esim I didn’t want to monkey around. This way the phone is pre activated on arrival. My plan already supports 5g, I think. So hopefully I don’t have to change plans.

So preordering and using carrier financing only allows you to Save the phone. Assume tomorrow that I select from Saved list then go through carrier confirmation, payment etc? Not sure how much time this will actually save? Any thoughts?

Does anyone know what carrier confirmation looks like on T-Mobile? I'm on a family plan with some friends of mine, will I need the primary account holder to do the verification or get their login?

You can't do a pre-order setup when opting for a carrier deal. They should be more explicit about that limitation.

Per a post above this is a glitch that is being worked on, but what do I know :)

I'm just providing some information that may or may not help other people who are dealing with the trade in program.

Yeah, it's a bit of a crock but I would rather deal with citizen's bank than my carrier honestly.

I did ultimately go ahead and do it after making the final installment payment on the existing citizen's one loan I went ahead and chose to "upgrade" my iPhone 12 pro even though it is now paid for. We'll see if they have the balls to say I need to send it back in to them, which I won't be doing.

I'm reserved though and I believe from the last couple of launch events, tapping through with the upgrade program is one of the fastest ways to order.

One other tip that might help others. Initially I was being told my citizen's bank loan app was being declined which seemed odd considering I have a nearly perfect credit score. Turns out I forgot I had placed freezes on all of my credit reports. I had to unfreeze them to get it to go through.
