No idea, I’ve never used PayPal for subscriptions but PayPal isn’t the only payment provider.
And it shouldn't be the only provider beside Apple payment system. There should multiple options for sure.

Pretty much, yeah.I don’t like this. There’s no benefit to consumers, only Apple and the devs to make more money
Most definitely! I don’t buy anything from the App Store anymore. All there is anymore is free games that you can’t get anywhere unless you spend a lot of money or programs that want to lock you into a subscription. Give me a flat price to pay for a program!App Store is becoming increasingly more toxic
I’m going to take a very close at my subscriptions and start canceling anything that isn’t absolutely essential.Apple just figures that it is to their advantage to let the price go up without explicit approval of their customers. They figure most of their customers will accept it. However if suddenly users started to cancel their subscriptions en masse they would probably reverse the policy.
And worse, you have to delve into an app to actually find out the pricing model. And almost every app is "free to download", but the actual pricing model is so extravagantly expensive for what it is, with subscription layers and feature buy ins, I just can't be bothered even looking anymore.Subscriptions are a cancer. It spreads and it will eventually kill its host.
I buy very few apps these days simply because I hate this model. If I can’t find an app I want that has a single price for use, I decide I don’t need an app like that. Paying a subscription for calculators, weather apps, metronomes, etc. is idiotic. Even higher level apps shouldn’t be doing it.
I wish the market would correct this disease…
And what do all the other ones do?
No problem then, app developers can pick the payment option that requires users to opt-in to price increases rather than opt-out, when that becomes possible.Same as PayPal or Apple
