I’m also not getting some text notifications and when I close my messages app after going back to the main message list, when I open the app again it goes directly to the last person I was texting. It’s definitely buggy.

Just do an internet search on security problem on iOS 13 it is everywhere now. Your contacts and passwords are exposed.

I dont think passwords are exposed, but contacts and contact details including your own can be. The attacker does need physical access to the iPhone though and it cannot be done OTA etc. Not downplaying it, just stating that it is a serious security flaw, but if the attacker can't get your phone, they cannot see these details. What if it is stolen I hear you say? Do a remote wipe from iCloud. The phone will then be useless.

Again, not downplaying it, but it wouldn't stop me from running iOS13.0

Just my Opinion.

It's a flaw that requires an incredibly lucky set of events to happen, and all disappears if Siri is turned off on lock screen (which has been the case for me on my iphone for years.)and is on ios 13.0.

So yeah, it's okay to downplay it.

Sure wish I knew what email problems people are having...My Xs with the new iOS 13 (not beta) is having no trouble at all.

I agree. iOS 13 is not the “end of the world” some of the above posters are saying. My wife and I have an Xs and no issues with Mail, Notifications, Speed, Fluidity or battery, so when a poster bitches, I don’t see specific examples of their complaints. All software have bugs, but we have not seen anything that would make us say don’t install 13. iOS 13 is not the end of the world folks.

If you use an MDM with exchange email and iOS 13, you will definitely have email problems, including:

1) email that appears to be sent, but doesn’t actually send, and which shows up days later in your outbox as unsent
2) email that does not appear in your inbox unless you switch mailboxes and come back to the original mailbox
3) message text that does not load unless you force-quit mail and restart it
4) when you read mail, it does not get marked as read on the server
5) mail marked as read on the server is not marked as read on the device
6) unread message count does not match the actual number of unread messages

Apple has acknowledged these problems to corporate customers. My employer, as an example, which is very large, has sent out a mail telling everyone not to upgrade to 13.0, and saying that apple has acknowledged the issues and that they will be resolved in 13.1. (And, as I am testing 13.1 and previously tested 13.0, I can verify both that 13.0 had all these problems, and 13.1 does not).

BTW, iPadOs 13.0 was even worse - it had all these problems plus:

1) swiping the bottom bar from app to app causes respringing about 10% of the time
2) split-screen divider gets ”stuck” and the ”tab” between windows moves around randomly
3) drag-and-drop from files app and other apps into mail frequently results in blank email
4) video stuttering
5) display glitches
etc.

Again, 13.1 appears to have resolved most of these issues.

Citation needed - the only security issue I see is a minor one involving someone who knows your phone # or FaceTime email address and getting physical control of your phone without your knowledge can open Contacts, if Siri is enabled at the lock screen.

So, no passwords revealed, and no strangers can do it. Hardly a serious issue.

It’s because it’s pretty much unusable...

Is anyone having live wallpaper issues with iOS 13.1 on iPhone 11 Pro Max?

after installing beta no live wallpapers are available anymore and can’t get them back

13 was buggy and for the first time as an iPhone owner I got to see some bugs.

The most annoying is when I reply to a text from lock screen, I force touch the message and when I type the volume seems to be astro-HIGH and it's actually very annyoing/kind of hard on the ears (tap sound as you hit keys) when I hit send and then continue to type again the volume goes back to normal.

  • I have alerts volume max out; NOT controlled by volume rockers.
  • a few menu hiccups in settings

CarPlay has been an issue for me since day 1. I didn't 'upgrade' as 13 was installed on my Pro Max.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A pain when I need Maps.

Aftermarket cable that worked fine on my XS Max not even recognized. No ding when connected. Using OEM cable now...

Since day 1 with Pro Max or day 1 in gen ... I still have the X and updated to 13 with zero CarPlay issues before or after update

LOL sorry was trying to offer some help, not to brag, and was wondering if the issue was just since your pro max or since day 1 even before the pro max
Never had a single issue with the XS Max. Not one.

My Pro Max is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. No rhyme or reason. And I am using an OEM cable as the Pro Max refuses to even acknowledge my aftermarket cable that worked just fine on my XS Max.

13.1 is out...as always, I will wait until tonight (see if there are problems)
Unless there are real big major problems - I still think I will update no matter what! And darn it, I want to update my watch also. :)
