I don't really understand what are you people complaining about (bugginess).
If I was not running them and just by reading this thread I would think it's an unusable OS.
But I'm running iOS 13 GM on my iPhone 8 Plus and iPadOS 13.1b4 on my iPad Air 2, both with 0 problems.
I have also updated my wife's iPhone X today to 13.0 GM and again no apparent issues; mail also working.

Anyone know how to keep this from showing up? I have to force quit the Messages app to get rid of it.

What's weird is I didn't even do anything involving audio in Messages.

I like how Apple is rolling lately. Prioritize stability over promised features when rolling out a new OS. If parts of it aren't ready, delay the release of those parts and make it better. Under promise on the revised date, then deliver early.

I’m sure glad I decided to hold off on updating today. Will definitely wait until 13.1 is released in full

Is 13 really that bad? I wonder if the new iPhones will all arrive with 13.1 mysteriously on them already?
There will be no new iPhone shipping with iOS 13.1, at least not the first batch. As for iOS 13, well, mail app is significantly worse than iOS 12.3.1, and dark mode does not please quite a few people because “it is not true dark mode” or “it is inconsistent across the system”, or other reasons.

Bet you cannot back that up with anything. I have had 0 problems, that's Z-E-R-O
Just because you have ZERO issue does not render others issue invalid. I certainly have tons of issues, one of which is the inconsistent behaviour when auto switching dark mode, and the mail app is borderline unusable during iOS 13 beta.

I wonder if they ever add posibility to install 3rd party dictionaries like on MacOS.

You’ve posted this repeatedly since January. We get the point. You want another dictionary. Saying it over and over again here won’t help - perhaps tell Apple?

It’s rather obvious when you think about it why Apple released this today.
They had to put iOS 13 GM on the new iPhones weeks in advance in order to be able to manufacture and ship them in time for their launch date (tomorrow).
Old devices MUST have iCloud backups on the same iOS version as the new devices in order to transfer settings.
Those getting new iPhones need to have their old devices on iOS 13 so it was released today, despite being somewhat buggy.
There are no new iPads being launched tomorrow and so with iPadOS there was no reason to release 13 for iPads. Those go straight to 13.1 when it’s ready in a few days.
Pretty sure you can have a backup from an earlier version of iOS for it to work, just not a later version.

iPad OS 13.1 is surely ready today. Its not like they are gonna just "button a few things up" between today and Tuesday. Probably trying to avoid server load.....but then again iOS 12 launched on ALL devices on the same day.....sooo yea.

This is definitely a snafu on Apple's part.
Well, they could very well have some things to "button up" between now and the release date.

I am well aware of the issues some are having with the email app. I am not one of them. I have had no issues with the email app with any of the 13 or 13.1 betas and I use the app multiple times a day.

The email app is not "plain broken" for everyone.
Same here. I only use the Mail app - no third party mail apps. It’s worked perfectly through all the betas. iPad Air 2.

There is no "GM" for point releases.

Generally not, but a few times in the past it has happened. I don't think there will be a GM for 13.1 myself, 13.1 b4 has been great on my XS, no issues that I've noticed. I'm going with the next release being the public build on the 24th. I've uninstalled the beta profile in preparation. If I'm wrong and there is another beta before the GM I can either reinstall the profile, or just wait, it's only a few more days.

Well, now I can just wait to do a clean install until then. Thanks MacRumors! 😘 Appreciated.

What's wrong with mail? Are the problems only on the iPhone? I've been running 13.1 beta on my iPad and haven't run into any issues with Mail whatsoever. If Mail is broken on iOS 13 on the iPhone specifically I'm going to the concerned because my new phone arrives tomorrow!
With the earlier versions I had problems with it showing me that I had new messages in the red notifications, but not showing up in the list. I would have to then filter by unread, and they would show up. It doesn't happen as much now, but still happens sometimes. Also it would not clear the notification bubble once I read a message, and that was super annoying, I can't stand having red bubbles on any of my apps.

Depends on you, takes no time, if you are backed up to the cloud, zero risk, but then I never encountered an issue updating. Been on Public Beta program for years

I bet he doesn't even own an iPhone. I've had no issues. Some people like more features and use a third-party mail app

how much will you bet ? How about $500 USD and I post pics of my iphone, ipad, macbook, airpods, apple watch ...

It’s an issue on the iPhone, but appears to be resolved on the iPad. I have to close/relaunch the Mail app for it to pull in all new mail. It’s gotten better over the various betas, but still not resolved (at least on my XS )

Apple will release the upcoming iOS 13.1 update and iPadOS on September 24 instead of September 30 as previously planned, according to updated information on its iOS 13 and iPadOS preview pages.
If you’re going to reference the preview pages, you should really link to them...
